I have been doing a review of a cloned copy of a Leupold scope I recieved from our own Richard/Bookdoc who is bringing these in produced by Vector Optic company an selling on his web page. I have it mounted on my Benji Trail XL (a known scope killer) an it has with stood all the stress the gun an myself could throw at it,so far it has around 1800 pellet's fired under it with out any shift's in the P.O.A or damage to finish an is as solid as the day I purchased it. To say this is a clone does not do justice to this piece of glass, it seem's to be as well constucted as any Leupold I have handeled in my shooting time. The spec.'s are even the same as it's counter part which run 30mm tube with a 40mm objective,Mil-dot iluminated 11 level R/G cross hair with 3.6" of eye relief, 14" long weighing in at 2.2lb's it also has the side focus set up that goes down to 20yd's (but on 5 power zoom's in down to 10yd's clear). I think highly of this set up an believe it will be a nice piece for anyone looking for a mid price high quality piece of glas for all AG's up too the Ultra-Mag I have it placed on.....Thank's for reading you all have a safe shooting day.

You can find him an the site under "AirScopes" on our member's list at the top of our board here. I don't know for sure if he has it fully up an running yet? But it is a double of the Leupold Mark 4 you can find anywhere on the net an is even marked the same. I will try an get Richard to drop us more info Nathan.

Here's a little tidbit. My Nephew is a sniper in the USMC and one of the Mil-Spec's for his M-40 sniper rifles, (highly modded 700 Rem with a Leo MK 4) is that has to withstand a 60 ft drop to the grass from a helo and still keep zero.

Mr.Gene Thank's for moving this to the right area,I knew it was wrong after I hit the button(meant to ask one of the Mod's,Sorry) Guy's I went to his site an seem's too not be up an running yet. I have sent a E-Mail to Richard an hope he contact's me/us soon I will let you know. Bart it would be interesting for one on a 52 just to see if their is any diff. between a Ultra NP an Springer's recoil on them. I found the scope on e-bay guy's an I can't seem to find it again there?

Sorry I've missed this, and thanks to Jay for the feedback. I'm glad it came out this way, and thanks for your help and write up!

I've been using these for a little over a year now, with one on my favorite gun, and on some guns I got just to break scopes. That is, I am using these on my favorite gun ahead of my Leupold, Bushnell, Swift, Sightron and Hawke, all made for springers. I got one to Jay to have him test because I wanted to be sure that what I was experiencing was not an anomaly. I didn't think it was because I have sold about 70 of these for up to $300, and I have exactly one complaint. It was a faulty scope, and I offered an exchange.

Like most Chinese rifles I have tested, people were giving these scopes a bad name because they were a) chinese, and b) a blatant ripoff of the coveted and respected Leupold name. I had gone into my own 'dark side' these past several months, initially I was going to just sell known manufacturer scopes for airgunners... But I detoured after losing my job in February, and began selling what I could make a profit on. I turned to these scopes and started selling them on eBay myself, having to concentrate on that for a while. I bought several different lots @ different power, and I am ready to turn it over to the airgunners now as I am satisfied that these are great quality for a fairly low price. I'm thinking I'd like to keep the deal nice for GTA members, as payback for the help I got here in getting started with my new direction, and the great support I've gotten from members, both professionally (Gene's tunes) and specifically in feedback from a LONG LIST of members.

I will be changing my website over the weekend to focus on the scopes I have tested and proven to be airgun ready. There are at least 3 models in stock, and I am in the midst of another purchase negotiation. I have only a few of each on hand right now, but expect that moving into the holidays that will be an issue in the past. Here are the scopes:

Vector Optics Raptor 3.5-10x40 AO SF -- $120
Vector Optics Raptor 4-14x50 AO SF -- $140
Vector Optics Raptor 6-24x50 AO SF -- $160
(and I am looking into getting similar Vector Optics Raptor 8-32x56)

One of the things I've been doing with these scopes is testing them. I've had one on my favorite springer for 6 months... I have not had a problem.

The glass is as good as better scopes I have used. The reticles are sometimes better (I like the TMR). The eye relief is really great, I think. a lot of scopes -- even expensive ones -- give you difficulty in getting your head in the right place. The relief on these is very forgiving.

I have the 3.5-10x 40, the 4-14x50 and 6-24x50 in stock. I will be taking pictures tonight, finally. I will also be getting in 4-12x40 illuminated. Working on the latter with a supplier I have used before.
