How many times a month would you be interested in shooting our Matches

Come on folks, support the matches. The mods and a few faithful folks put a lot of effort into setting these up and running them. We are all here because we like to shoot, so pick a target and shoot!

btw this is Jeff, formerly 'JQR'. Seems I had to re-register.

My match participation has waned since inception but I still post them when I can.

I'm in Guy's have my son MichaelM doing up the target's for me an I'm getting ready to start!!! An I believe he is also?

Yea I can shoot the shorter matches 10-15 yards but thats all the room I have now   printing out targets and such and getting ready as we speak

IMHO once a month is a good compromise.
That way we are not rushing to shoot at the last minute.
Despite the fact that people like me can't seem to get our act together to even shoot a match.  :-(
But, if I get my act together, once a month is about right.

The only issue is that the shooter "should" submit his/her "final" target.
You don't want to shoot one and submit, then shoot another one and if it better submit that to raise the score, ...
Now you can always keep shooting w/o submitting, then cherry pick the target with the highest score to submit.

There's 10 target shooting matches going on at the GTA.  I was shooting each match each week....so I guess you can say I'm a "Every Week" competitor.

It's abit time consuming...so I chose the "Twice a Month" option.

And I agree....each competior should only choose only one of their target sheets per match to post...that way it'll be easier for the person tallying the scores.

Hope more members will join up for the matches.

Once a month works very well for me right now. I could pull twice a month, but am very glad for the time. Between work, weather, and family, time is short this year. Also, I think I'm only shooting the 30yd benchrest and 10yd offhand till I get my other rifle fixed. Once that's done I'll have the option to shoot the 25yd open sight... I'm gonna miss that one.

The good news is, now that I'm all set up to shoot from a windowsill, I think I can shoot longer into the cold weather than I have in the past.

I could, maybe, do twice a month, but every week is a little much... fun, but a little much.

i sold ALL my airguns funding powderburning pistols as i am getting my permit
but i couldnt take it anymore
so i have a CB TOMCAT coming in this week

i didnt post alot of  them befor as i got busy but i am in full swing now and ready to take the competition

Shoot crowpopper I wish I would of known, don't know where you live but we could of maybe worked out a deal on the classes an maybe even a handgun for your AG's.

i live in ny
i have my mandatory course weds night it is 1.5 hrs
she said if you have guns or know anything anout em you will be bored for and hour and a 1/2
should have the permit by end of the month she said prolly last week of july
i have a few guns now just cant get em till i have the permit
they are at the gun shop

I'm up for it maybe twice a month! Gig season is here so that may mess my plans up a bit but I'm a hopin not too much!

 I think twice a month would be a good balance. Sometimes it can be hard to find time to shoot every week but I'm afraid I would loose interest only shooting once a month.

For a once a month match/shoot, you would only "post" once a month.
You would shoot more often.
Heck you could shoot as much as you want, then cherry pick the best target to post.
