Mine arrived today. Did anyone else get there's yet? I have a few questions, no instructions for the Max, oh, they say they're just like the speed (but they're NOT) mine had a bad fill probe, nicks in the stock and the instructions on loading a magazine require you to carry a ballpoint pen with you. I know the pen is suppose to be mightier than the sword, but the gun? It says if the pellet doesn't seat (none do) use a ballpoint pen to properly seat it. So, if your going to shoot, don't forget your pen. There is no time listed to charge the batteries after the first time. Can they be overcharged sebsequent to the first? The manometer for air pressure is nice, can't really see it, up under the firing linkage, but it's nice. Now, with all that said, will I send it back? NOT ON YOUR SWEET BIPPEE! Wow talk about Rambo on steroids! It's what I've been waiting for and they aren't getting it back. Haven't shot it yet, waiting for the battery charge. That will come tomorrow (I'm retired and the roster and I are going to fight as to who yells first) And I've got the new gun, so he better yell quietly.

The only problem I heard of so far is if you get Magazines that aloud the pellets to move around, if so you'll have missfires, hope yours are good one

take the battery pack into a rc hobby store and tell them you need a basic charger. bet they also have a nice a little battery pack as a spare or even one that gives out the same power but has a longer run time

+1 to what mike said. it looks like a nicad battery. so yes it's important to fully drain it and completely charge it for best battery life. nicad's will have "memory". if you short charge them and don't discharge completely the life will get shorter and shorter.

not sure what kind of charger it came with. but if in doubt i would get a nice peak charger that will charge them correctly. replacement batteries or an extra will be fairly inexpensive.

i seen someone had modded it to use a lipo battery. much greater power to size and weight. lipo's don't have near as bad of a memory effect but are potentially volatile if not charged properly with the correct equipment.

congrats on the coolest thing going. wish i had one. maybe i'll run into some $$ and can make the club.

No dog in the fight ... But Ni-Cad batteries are sooooo obsolete !!
Don't assume they are that type tho ... more than likely if a typical looking cell they will be NiMh type cells ( Nickle Metal Hydride )
and require a slightly different charger from Ni-cads for Peak charge detection. Also NiMh cells don't get a memory and can be topped charged from any state of discharge without issue over and over again.

i gather its and electronic valve , none of my guns have a battery , interesting , dont know anything about them , and not knocking them , but my experience with electronics is sooner or later you wish you had mechanical, but thats assuming its for the valve good luck those things are too rich for my blood

i would never buy an electronic valve gun.

The eletric circuit on the new Evanix lines is just to move the mechanical bolt in semi and full Auto

my bad.

looked like nicads. looking more closely you can actually see nimh on the pack. well nimh (nickel metal hydride) are a lot more forgiving as far as charging and memory.

and you can "top" them off.

still fairly inexpensive for an extra or replacement.

better than nicads but still obsolete compared to modern lipo's.

WARNING

WHEN USING LIPO'S DO NOT DRAIN THEM COMPLETELY DOWN, ODDS ARE THEY WILL BLOW UP IN A FIREBALL THE NEXT TIME YOU CHARGE THEM

when i was flying rc heli's i was using 200 dollar lipo packs that had 7 to 10 cells in each of them, i also had a kitchen timer and would time my flights for 10 minutes to 14 minutes depending on the battery size. the first flight with a new pack id just hover untill i felt the power start dropping and then thats it for that pack, let it cool a bit since it shouldnt be that warm and then on the charger it goes.

btw i switched over to a lipo pack to run my rc radio (controller to none rc folk) and it was awesome. since the radio didnt use to much power i could a full month doing 3 flights 5x's a week before needing to be recharged. where as the nicad and nimh packs would last maybe 2 weeks before id get the low power alarm during mid flight.

here are some video's showing with lipo rc battery packs can do if not used properly.
