I have an HW 55MM, same action in a different stock. Mine has the original diopter sight, and as far as I know, the original spring and seals. Mine's a nice shooter, smooth and accurate, with one of the best triggers I have ever used. It averages about 640 fps with H&N match pellets, and stacks them at 30 feet indoors. I think you'll enjoy it.Larry
did somebody get in my gun safe and swipe mine? its the best shooting gun ive had till the original leather seal went bad . got a new 1 ordered and now im just waiting for it . its an excellent smooth shooting gun with 1 of the best triggers made rekford is the top of the crop . they arent a real strong gun but a most accurate gun shoots cphp's in the 650-675 range . how much did ou have to give for yours ? they are quite collectable and in good shape bring a rathe high price
Wow- yet another beauty! Congrats. I would like to come and go shopping with you, lol.
Well I guess I'm the first one who doesn't like the gun....at least this particular one. It's completely over-sprung, the thing twangs like crazy, and when the piston slams home it feels like there is no seal on it. The gun is accurate, without a question, and I feel if i breathe on the trigger it will shoot. I am trying to re-adjust to make it a little stiffer. The shaft was at some time broken completely through!! The repair job was at least done by someone who has capabilities to do such. There is absolutely no bluing left on the metal, at least no rust either. Looks like the bluing was chemically removed, and the metal was left untouched, not even any oil....at least no rust. So, I have a big project now, and because of the shaft, I can't even sell it for anything....so, it is a keeper. At least I will learn more about Weihrauchs when I take it down and and try to repair the rest.I was apparently a fool on this one, but the owner was not quite honest either.Ain't life grand when you've been done over?Anyone else ever not gotten their money's worth??
