I have been having a lot of fun with little AG for a few weeks now. So well made for the price and almost as much fun as letting loose a bag frogs in the school lunchroom.
But that's another post.

So, being that it's a youth rifle the Norica 56 is a little short in the lop. And after a hundred shots that wooden butt gets old. Something had to be done and A pad would would kill two birds with one stone . Giving me both some length and relief.

I had a couple of Butt Pads laying around from earlier projects and not wanting to get overly involved in this project I made my best attempt to keep it simple.

The Butt Is curved ...

The pad is straight...

Mark the stock for the top hole.

I used Spax screws.. Self drilling so no wood splitting and three small washers for spacing.
And Done.

Haha Nice Pete! In fact, I was shooting mine again today... I'm running low on them RWS super points now...

Shot my Tribal also and you were right... Since there was no breaking of the sound barrier, it was only a little louder than my plastic short barreled Pumpmaster 760...

Try the JSB . My Norica love's em. This was my am77.

The Norica (today/15yrds/12Mph wind)The few fliers were all me.

Nice groups... Did your Norica quiet down?

The AM77 surprised me with it's groups when I shot the one I gave to my brother...

Your Norica 56 is grouping well... Since I was running low on the RWSs, I started trowing the bad Crosman CPHPs (from the tin) in it... Those pellets were all over the place... I made separate targets for the tight ones, loose ones, and the pellets that fit perfectly... I was doing pretty good with the perfect fit ones... They grouped a little worse than your windy ones at 10 yards...

It's getting more quiet and starting to settle down...It's a fun little stinker of an airgun. I wonder if we're the only two that own a 56 ..LOl.
I can get better groups than the ones posted , but I was shooting my HW30 prior and my eyes didn't want anymore time behind the scope.

BTW: Happy to hear the Tribal is working out. Keep us posted on it.

I haven't got it over the Chrony yet...a Guesstimate..around 560 -575.

Lol I think there's one more person that may have a 56... I vaguely remember... They are fun, aren't they? Sometimes I take a brake from what I'm doing and grab mine to pop off a couple of rounds because the 56 is quicker to fire than my pumpers... I'm sure that HW30 is a dream to shoot... If you shoot your Norica first then you'll enjoy your HW30 even better... It's like drinking various grades of liquor.. LOL It's hard to go back when you start with the good stuff.

I'll let you know on the Tribal.. I just got the open sights sighted in yesterday. I need to still put a few rounds through her.. The trigger is as expected from a false 2 stage but it actually isn't that bad and I didn't even do any work to it... I haven't done any work on the 56 also but it's wearing in nicely...

Now 14" .. I could do more, but then I would not be able to move my scope back far enough....just as soon as i find someone with a mill... i have them knock off a 1/2 from the mount. Or just leave it alone....ya that's it ....

h2rider: Where did you get yours..? Did you get yours recently? I know PA stopped selling them in .22 shortly after I bought mine... I'm just asking because I don't see many Norica dealers...

I bought my 56 from Pyramyd Air about a year ago. I was looking for a low power .22 plinker but I have not had a chance to shoot it much so far.

Hey Pete.... After I did some minor work on my trigger, crown, and breach on my 56, I decided to throw a cheap scope on it... I got the thing shooting really accurate... I'm still not used to the trigger because I got use to it when the trigger pull was harder... I find myself accidentally pulling the trigger all the time... LOL
