CAUTION!!!!

This is a SERIOUS  PRANK please share with friends  and family... 

Kids are  putting Drano, tin foil, and a little water in  soda bottles and capping it up - leaving    it on  lawns.  When you go to pick up the trash, and the bottle is shaken just a little - in about  30 seconds or less it builds up a gas and  explodes with enough force to remove some of  your extremities.

The liquid that comes out is boiling hot as  well.

Don't pick up any plastic  bottles that may be lying in your yards or in  the gutter, etc.

     Pay attention to  this.

                 1. a plastic bottle with a  cap.
                 2. a little Drano.
                 3. a little water.
                 4. a small piece of  foil.
                5.  Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM!!

  No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc.

People are finding these bombs in mailboxes and in their yards, just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the trash. But,   you'll never make it!!! It takes about 30  seconds to blow after you move the  thing.

this happened in my home town in 2008, this poor lady was picking up trash at our local fishing spot....BOOM! it makes me sick, thank god for adult sentencing... look at the link and see what it did to this poor lady...it could have been me, i always pick up others trash at the park

Yep, very true.
I had heard of this being done back in junior high school, but the guys telling me about it did not set them up as booby traps, instead electing to put a lit candle next to them, activate them, then run like the fires of hades were behind them.
They said the resulting hyrdogen cloud would make a massive fireball with the candle for ignition.
I work in security, and we also received this as a warning.
It's not just dumb kids who could be doing this, too.
There are some domestic terrorists who have used these as booby traps.

Thanks for the heads up  CDT. After reading this yesterday I was at the gas station last nite and saw a couple of the local leo's,and mentioned it to them. The sheriff knew what I was speaking of but the other city cop didn't have a clue.

I told my daughter about this last night and will tell the wife.  Won't tell my son.  It would only end up in a trip to the emergency room........again.

I will say, glad you included the videos.  Thought, sure, probably bursts the bottle and sprays liquid all over the place.  Nothing like a solid KABOOM to erase that mental image!
