Took delivery this morning of a QB57 from Archers.
Factory second for ~$45... About the price of a meal for two.
I was lucky - the stock damage is very light.
Doesn't shoot too bad. Got a 3 shot one hole group @ 10 meters with Crosman Wad Cutters, one time. Then they opened up a bit.
Ugly little bugger, IMO, with a trigger action worse than a 1950's cap gun. But I think I can work with it.
Photos of the imperfections shown below.
I'm using a Hawke Red Dot Sight for now. Don't know how it'll hold up on this little springer.
So far I've tried Crosman Hollow Points, Crosman Pointed, Crosman Destroyers, JSB Exacts, Gamo Rockets and Polymag Predators.
No single one stands out. I'll look around the house for maybe some others I don't remember having. I'll see what happens.
Anyone have a suggestion for a proper pellet for this thing.??

Is that the .177 or .22? Yeah good deal, I have been eyeing them for awhile...

That's a 177...
It's my first side-cocker. It's a little awkward cocking, since the lever pivot is right against my belly.
But I'm getting the hang of it.
By the way, most of the pellets tried grouped somewhat, just seemed to be in different quadrants if the target.

Tom, IIRC the GRTIII will fit your rifle which would address your trigger issue very nicely.

I really don't want to put a$33 trigger in a $44 gun.
After the novelty of the ChiComm quality experience wears off, it'll probably go into storage.
I have a good selection of quality guns to go back to.
My Disco needs the 3 screw mod and I'd like to get an 18" barrel for my TalonSS sometime down the road.
I limit my spending, otherwise I'll need to find a new wife. Or at least another place to live. She can be a bad experience when mad. ;-}

PaperPunch1,
I seem to be getting better in tune with it now.
It's getting a little more comfortable.
Still seems to like the Crosman wad cutters.
What works for you pellet wise.??

Those guns respond to basic tuning very well, I don't have a scale but I guess my trigger pull to be 4lbs. since I lubed it with oil mixed with moly paste. It has proven to be accurate in spite of who is shooting. I bought a .22 and today I've just taken delivery of a .177 barrel, tried it out tonight and its great.

Mine shoots the crosman premier domes just fine, and since I have 1500 of 'em on hand, it works for me!

I bought some crossman hunting pointed and then found some daisy prec.max hollow point, my gun so far likes the daisys better.
