If you use PC paper and print your own targets get a glue stick and glue you targets to a peice of cardboard,MAKES A BIG DIFF AND THE GLUE STICKS ARE CHEAP @ THE DOLLAR STORE ~~BS50

I've been experimenting with paper for targets. The best I've found so far is construction paper. It runs around $2 for 50 sheets at Staples. The only problem is, it comes in 9" X 12". I have a guillotine paper trimer, so cutting it down to size is no big deal. Also while your there, ask the office supply associate if you can have some cardboard lids from the boxes their paper comes in. They have tons in the back and most of the time they will give them to you for free.

What do I put behind my target paper?  Why, targets of course!  Seriously, I buy the 5 1/2" square Gamo card targets that come 100 to a box from amazon and use them as backer cards for my small pellet trap targets.  They are cheap and convenient.  My printed targets have 5 or 6 bulls on them, versus only one on the Gamo cards, and the Gamo cards last through more than one printed sheet.  I get a lot of use out of a single Gamo target card used, not as a target, but as a backer card.

I know this thread is kinda old now, but I didn't notice anyone mentioning the Tip Top Targets from Caldwell or Tipton.

Hands down the very best targets I've ever seen for making CLEAN holes.  It will literally look as if someone used a hole punch to make the holes in the target.  These are also the same targets used on AirGun Reporter for PyramidAir.

I've used them with powder burner rifles and pistols, and air guns alike.

I just used my last 3 targets over the weekend and when I went to order more I could not find them.  It turns out that Caldwell has discontinued them.  Now I am so bummed about it.  If I had known, I would have purchased a few hundred of them while they were still available.

Now I'm on the hunt to find a way to make my own, which is how I stumbled across this thread:-)

Covering the back of the target bull with duct helps as well, especially with lighter weight papers

 I have found in the past and in this case also, that ebay frequently as discontined items  here is what I found just now (5/14/15)
