Sniper 125 trigger adjustment..

Getting more shooting time with my new rifle,and seems the trigger could use more adjustment to the light side.
From the factory,both adjusting screws were already bottomed out...no more adjustment.
I have heard a slightly longer screw will give more adjustment,to lighten up the trigger pull.
How long of a screw do you need?

If you need them quickly, they can be found at ACE Harware for .60 cents each.  And they are in stainless steel there too.

What about adjustments with the longer screws? I found some earlier posts about it is very easy to go to far,and have maybe an unsafe cocking situation.
I guess I could measure the original screw length and note difference of new screw length. Then set new screw adjustment with air gap under head to that difference,giving the original setting to go from.
Any info,on how much safe adjustment there is,before trouble?

I screwed the forward most screw in until it seated lightly. The gun wont latch when cocked at this point, but its where i started.  Then keep trying to cock & latch until it latches. I backed the screw out 1/4 turn at a time until it did.  It will be a hair trigger at this point, so use caution, and NEVER LET GO OF THE BARREL WHEN YOU LOAD A PELLET!  It will be very hairy, lol.

The second screw - start with the screw tip flush with the trigger body.  Screw it in 1/4 turn at a time. Eventually the second stage stop will appear.

Then advance each screw in 1/4 turn at a time until the desired weight  and break are schieved.  Start with the front, then keep alternating. As you tightn the front, the second stage will dissapear each time until you advance the rear to match... and so on.

Not sure if this is correct, but it worked for me.

I noticed the original screws have a ball shaped end. I gave the new ones the same treatment.
What about a dab of STP,on the end of the screw to help slick up the action?
It just needs to be smoother with a bit less spring.

One more thing... How do you remove the complete trigger unti? If you remove the 2 screws at the trigger guard.does it just slide out or is hooked on some way. Don't want to mess with it and hear something go "ting" inside!

You have to remove the stock to remove the trigger assembly. The trigger assembly is held into the reciever by two pins that also serve to help hold in the spring and piston assembly. The trigger assembly itself is somewhat of a PIA, as the parts are held in by pins with no locking clips. If you take the trigger assembly out, just holding it over on its side can be enough to cause pins to fall out. If you plan on removing the trigger assembly take plenty of closeup pictures.

Be very careful after you've installed the longer screws. ALWAYS hold the barrel when cocking it. Give me a sec, Mike sent me good info on adjusting.

You don't have to remove the trigger guard to replace those 2 screws. My allen wrench reached one of them as it sat through the hole in the guard. I could reach the other merely by pulling the trigger to line it up with the hole.

Got the screws in and adjusted to my liking. Used a selection of Numbered drill bits,shank end, as a gage to set the screws. The screws are 16mm in length,with radiused end. My setup works out to...No.1 screw up front .128 air gap from bottom of head to trigger.  No.2 screw is
.140 air gap. Backed them out a bit, added touch of Blue Thread Locker,then reset to gage pin.
   What a difference this setup is,compared to stock!!
Gave the barrel a quick run through with patch with my special rod,and ready to zero in the sights again!

 some one complained they had a very close call when  they installed  the longer screws and bob stated he does not want any more post on the the quattro trigger mod instructions  posted
 people are reading about getting longer screws, and running out  buying them  with out  proper instructions.

 then when  the typical failure happens they are shocked, because they  did not even know  what they were  doing or what to expect.

  I call that the people factor
 honestly  gene and bob new that would happen all along I did not think of that!

 Some where some one will do the same thing see a post then run out and buy the screws and toss them in with out a clue what the heck they are actually doing
