Looked at the Midway webpage/WeaverOptics.com Kaspa 3-12x44 30mm tube, IR, side parallax with TBX reticle. This is not spring gun rated. Doesn't give the spec on minimum Parallax-focus or total elevation/windage. Not listed on either webpage. I like the turrets to match the reticle, mil-mil or moa-moa, not moa turrets, miss-matched to mil reticle. Couldn't find info on the TBX-tactical ballistic reticle as being mil or moa. Not being spring gun rated and not having 1/10 mil turrets is a deal buster for me. I also would need to know minimum focus and total elevation/windage available.http://www.weaveroptics.com/optics/riflescopes/kaspa/http://www.midwayusa.com/product/555121/weaver-kaspa-tactical-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-3-12x-44mm-side-focus-illuminated-tactical-ballistic-x-reticle-matteIt loooks good, but I wouldn't buy an optic based on web photo looks alone, I'd require reading of several reviews, both good and bad ones and my hands on turret and look through, if at all possible. Couldn't find independent reviews, I don't trust vender web page reviews?Weaver scopes have a good reputation and a good warranty, so this scope should be a good choice for a non-springer type air gun.Sam
Just got off the phone with 'Weaver customer service Rep' . His answer to my question " Are the Kaspa line of Weaver rifle scopes Spring gun rated?"."'NO'"," The only spring gun rated scopes we sell are the 'Classic Rimfire line'." So....don't be surprised if the reticle turns sideways or disappears, or you start chasing the POI with your POA. Good luck, I hope your scope holds out, recommend you replace it with a spring gun rated scope.
Makes total nonsense to me! Better call back and ask if their warranty covers spring gun damage, bet it don't. They'll know by looking at the scope if spring gun damage has occur-ed. I'm not Genny pigging my money on untested rifle scopes, I know they have/will fail, already been proven numerous times. Like I said before "Hope yours holds up, very good chance it won't." Just talked to the Weaver customer rep, again. He stated. That spring gun damage to any non spring gun rated Weaver rifle scope VOIDED the warranty and would not be covered by warranty and they can tell it was spring gun damaged!
Nobody arguing here. Just posting the facts I know and Weaver is verifiying 'em. Just trying to prevent noobs from damaging Perfectly good scopes on spring guns when they aren't spring gun rated. Are you saying the Weaver Kaspa is on par with a 2k$ Schmidt & Bender?
I have here a Leupold, and a Schmidt & Bender, along with others... which exceed the $2000 mark in which to compare. Which facts do I have wrong?
