Hatsan 125TH .25 - chronograph & pellet testing... PART II (continued)

I played some more with the new 125TH .25 this evening.  I finally got around to testing another batch of pellets, and just for fun, I retested the JSB Kings.  The retest of the Kings was interesting to me because I last tested these in the first 20 shots of this gun's life.  While they have lost 10 fps since then, they have become even more consistent than their previous 2.44 fps standard deviation. 

The gun continues to get smoother cocking and firing.  I'm about 200 shots in now, and the power is still there too.  While I have lost 10 fps since the gun's first 70 shots, it continues to produce (on average/not maxes) between 31-33 fpe, no matter what pellet it shoots.  To my pleasure, the standard deviation has continued to shrink below 2 fps, and the extreme spreads are following suit.

The retested JSB Exact Kings 25.39 gr


H&N Hollowpoint 26.23 gr


H&N Match 21.14 gr


Banjamin Pointed Hunting 27.8 gr


H&N Silverpoint 24.38 gr


Gamo Rocket 20.8 gr

Pretty exciting results, especially from just a $200 rifle.  I wouldn't dare try to tune her, with a spread like that.  Scope her, zero with JSB's, and leave it alone for the life of the spring

My thoughts exactly. Im not fooling with this one. It's real smooth too.  I feel like it would be worth it to do something nice with the stock.

Enjoyed reading your test results! My 125 Sniper should be in at the end of the week...can't wait!
I use my air rifles to elimination water filled beverage cans and plastic milk jugs....hey you have to recycle you know!
Any penetration tests done yet? How thick of a piece of plywood will it go thru?
My little .177 Air Hawk drives the little 10 grains thru a 5/8ths thick fence picket from 27 yds.

  Are you glad hatsan came to the usa, I sure am, and believe me I don't care  about some that came out, over oiled or  what ever, I am  just glad they are here.

I wonder if these results wre typical of Hatsan. I look forward to more reads as others get their guns.

... i was thinking of bed lining the stock and muzle break.  Or maybe just painting them. Wish  they sold a wooden TH stock. If they did, I would buy it.
