Hatsan stock screws...

 Is there a trick to getting these out? I have read some crazy things about them unscrewing clockwise or something.  I didnt even want to try until I asked you guys first. Thanks.

The screws come out normally.  Righty tighty and lefty loosey.   The Key to removing the screws at the front of the stock is finding a correct phillips screwdrive to fit the small locking screw on the right side.  Remove this screw first.   Then with a large flat blade screw driver on the left side unscrew the main bolt.  Make sure the nut it is screwed into is not spinning as you unscrew main screw. The other screw holding the stock on is located at the rear of the trigger blade.
That locking screw is real easy to mess up if you don't use the correct philip head screwdriver.

Tightening the bolt on the opposite side seems to help. It will easy the pressure on the locking screw if the castle nut don't turn.

Well, for what it's worth, I got caught out with my Webley Dominator (Hatsan 155 Torpedo). I swung on the front screws like an ape posessed by the devil trying to loosen them but it made not an ounce of difference. They wouldn't budge at all. I then tried an old trick that some of you may have employed. I tried to give it that tiny bit of extra tightening, just to break its grip,, so I swung the opposite way and it went "S-N-A-P", and was loose. I cursed like a trooper thinking I had snapped the screw head but then found that it was a left hand thread and was "undone"...

Now, I don't know if Webley/Hatsan have done away with this absolutely numb nuts idea of left handed threads,, but please be careful...!!!

It appears my new riffle is a little different.

The two screws in the trigger housing are just normal screws... no different than my Ruger or Crosmans. They came right out.

The two up front are different. They consisted of one large screw bolt that runs throug a nut hidden in the stock, and a tiny phillips set screw on the nut-side. An impact screwdrver broke the tiny phillips free with one, very light wack.  It came out real easy. Then the flat head bolt just backed right out.

I have found the best way to undo them is to tighten the outside screw on the right hand side.
On the right hand side you will see the little phillips head and around the outside is the "nut" for the through screw. This "nut" is little tight,  but if you use the end of a blunt, but small punch, I use a ground down screwdriver, I tap the "nut" a little tighter and this relaeases the pressure on the small phillips screw, which now can be undone quite easily. The larger screw head on the left is easy to undo, by virtue of its size.

Its a amazing design isn't lol  that little phillips can be a nightmare  if you never dealt with it before lol,  which reminds me I have to  get me a in pact driver.
 On my used wfh ,  some one dremeled a flat across the top so  you can use a flat head screw driver

I dont understand the replys...

My tiny phillips came from Hatsan with a slot cut in it for a flat head screw driver. It also came out sooooo easily, using an impact screw driver using a small phillips bit.  One light wack, and it was broke free.  The nut burried in the stock, I didn't even have to fool with.

Is everyone elses design real.different that this??
