I hate nickel finished rifles and don't like the new gimmicky synthetic thumb hole stocks. "dang" the HW97k is their most sold target rifle and they still haven't come out with a stock with adjustable cheek and butt piece like they did with their HW98 years ago. Just went mainstream...You can get a HW98 in a Beeman R11
I just tuned a .177cal 97 and was smooth as butter! with no noise and was one of the smoothest shooters I've shot in awhile for this type of gun, you can't go wrong with either cal but at least with a .177cal you can go to Walmart and buy pellets the 7.9gr CPHP shot excellent out of my .177cal 97, I wish I hadn't sold that rifle but another member here has it now and says its so accurate he's goin fly hunting with it LOL!!!!!!!
Theoretically, I would choose .20 because it's the best of both worlds.
