in terms of years of use and quality
I think where a fixed bbl will have an advantage over a breaker is with scoped sights, or bbl/tube mounted sights versus bbl/bbl mounted on a breaker.Good lockup is important on break bbl, BUT, as long as there is no slop or movement when locked, it can be every bit as accurate as a fixed bbl. WITH open sights. Some, even with scopes.....look at HW....you dont see any complaints from their break bbls. Where the gun has an opportunity to loose its precise-ness (Is that a word?) is when precision sights are used, IE a scope is mounted. If lockup is not 100% consistant each time with a break bbl, then you can have issues with a scoped gun, of course. In a perfect setup where machining is right, screws are tight, a break bbl will hit where the bbl is pointed every time. A fixed bbl will hit where the gun is pointed each time. JMHO, so mileagae may vary .God bless, Farmer
