remington npss rifles come in 2 types of finish camo, and carbon fiber.

how are they holding up?   i remember that the cf had some flaking early on, but have heard nothing since early production.....the camo seems to chip some, but that could be from rough handling.... Y.O.P. (your opinion please)   also, I am not a big fan of thumbhole stocks    which,if any, stocks will swap   thanks    Bob

Good question.
The latest news is that Crosman (labeled Remington, but still made by Crosman) has resolved the flaking issue.
One review on YouTube claims that - for some reason - the camo version does not flake, while the black stock does.
I seriously doubt that, but maybe someone with a new one can either confirm that or disprove it.

I've had my black Remington NPSS since about March of this year. No problems yet with flaking.

My Crosman NPSS in illusion camo is coming off where it is handled in several places. Eventually I will probably repaint it myself if I decide to get creative. So far it hasn't effected the POI.....hee-hee.

I had a Crosman NPSS with the black carbon fiber stock that did have the flaking issue very early after Crosman introduced the rifle to the market.  They took it back at their expense and send me a brand new rifle with a black carbon fiber stock that no longer has the flaking issue.  Great customer service by Crosman.
