Brass washers

I just finished putting two brass washers in my barrel pivot point and now it is not showing any barrel wiggle at all. Shot 10 rounds through it and they were almost stacked on each other(when I did my part) from 10 yards. The tricks one learns from this forum are great. I also get good service from Crosman as per Jan every time I call to answer questions about parts. Looks like it is going to be a gooood day

Yeah, I wrote about them brass washers (Lowe's 5/16" in the "Fasteners" aisle) after I put them in my Crosman NPSS.  Shooting 1" groups at 100 yards with 14.3 grain CPHPs.

You bet thats a good group at 100 yards!!!! Haven't got to shoot it at any distance yet but you are right, after a little fitting they work perfect.
    Wish I could shoot my stick bow that good at 25 yards but thats another story.
   Yes it was my Crosman NPSS .22 .....sweet shooter!!

doing some work on a NPSS right now that I am installing brass washers in would have to say that the lockup on the gun was VERY light and it had alot of barrel wiggle...  so as part of the tune I am fixing both

I wonder if you can put those brass washers in a Storm XT/Phantom/Quest etc. and if so what size ? Do you have to modify them in anyway or just put them in as is ?

I didn't have much wiggle on the barrel of my NPSS but I went ahead and installed 5/16" brass washers anyway and now it is quite snug. They went in pretty easy with a "C" clamp and some molly. Only a little sanding was needed to size them.

I don't have a 100 yard shooting range but I was able to shoot 1 1/2" groups at 65 yards with the NPSS.

I replaced the cheap plastic washers with ones made from brass long ago.   It has to be one of the best improvements that a home gamer can do.     Needed some fitting but well worth the effort.   This was done in 3 Crosman and 2 Gamo AGs.

I guess manufacturers cannot justify the extra 2 cents it would cost to use metal washers over the cheap plastic type.

They are easy to size with a little work take them down till they are an easy drop in fit you don't want them too be a super tight except for the thickness.
