Got a like new Cometa Fusion with blonde walnut stock on the way. Can't wait to see it in person, sound be here by the end of the week. Was thinking about Walther Talon Magnum, but after shooting a few hours last weekend I was having second thoughts on a heavier gun. Came across the Cometa and it's lighter than any of the .22 cal guns I have now and will most likely have a little more power so I could not resist.

It's that gun without the adjustable stock.

A friend of mine has one. Great rifle! Very balanced, not too heavy or too light. EXCELLENT TRIGGER! And beautiful! I would say very powerful, but I have Hatsan Torpedo 150TH... :-) but quite powerful nevertheless... ;-)
Shot with it a few times, the most precise shots I ever taken when hunting.

Congrats, very nice gun, I was impressed with the look, quality, nice "thump", and little if any twang on mine. Be aware the stop pin hole diameter is smaller than normal, you'll probably have to modify a scope stop pin to fit properly. Don't let the "soft" recoil fool you, the scope will creep on you.

Got the Fusion on Monday. Great looking gun! Now I just gotta get some time to scope and shoot it.

I have the Fenix Compact and like it. I have a BNIB Fusion and just haven't dove in to yet. I hear good things, but just need to decide if it fits my needs, before cocking the barrel!

Got off earlier, now it's raining of course. I still need to put the rail mount and scope on anyhow. I made one of the holes a little bigger so it fit the scope stop pin fits. A lot more trouble since you have to take it apart, de-burr the hole and clean out the shavings. Got the weaver rail mounted solid so I can easily change scopes around. Just put my 3x9x40 Centerpoint scope on for now. Can't decide what scope I want.

The gun looks great with the blonde walnut stock and the silver air stripper on the barrel. Kinda has an old school custom gun look. Would love to put a silver scope on it. The gun is 1-2 lbs lighter than my trail np, TF89 or 850xs but hangs right with them on power. A lot easier to cock than the TF89 and 850xs.
I shot some pellets through the crony a few days ago and its pretty consistent at 737-741 with 14.3 grain CPHP's. It's as smooth to cock and shoot as my Trail NP. I did de-burr and lube it but, it was already smooth with just a faint buzz which is gone now.
Will hopefully shot some targets this weekend and see how it does.

WHERE did you buy it?

I understand Cometa has had difficulty obtaining a U.S. distributor. If someone has picked up the franchise, it would be good info to have on hand. Those are fine looking rifles.

I bought it from ranedouglas here on GTA. I did see new Cometa's a few different places. Straight Shooters has them new, Can't remember the other website.

Personally, I'm sure you'll enjoy it... I have one in .177 (and a 400 Fenix .177 too) and they are a pleasure to own... Very nice airguns indeed...

Got about 30 minutes of shooting today and got it sighted in pretty well. Found out my fold-up table is to low and did not make a good shooting rest. Trigger needs some adjustment as 2nd stage is just a bit long and hard to judge when it will go off. Still getting a feel for the gun and just did a lot of shooting today. Gun can definitely do it's job when I do mine. Here's my first target getting it sighted in. I pulled a few and just couldn't hold it on target with my make shift rest. Just before quitting I decided to see if I could take out the 2 red push-pins in the top corners holding the target. The tiny push-pins made me try harder to keep the crosshairs on target. 1st shot I pulled it off a little and second shot took out the right push-pin. Left pushpin I choked on the 1st shot and nailed it on the second. Now I gotta find a couple more push-pins for tomorrow, lol. Here a pic of the gun and today's shooting.

Oops. Forgot distance. Was sighting it in at 30 yards. The large jagged holes in the top left and top right are where I shot the push-pins that where holding the target.

Just keep at it and I'm sure you'll see some real tight groups. I've had to remove the scope from the Fusion so I'll have to re-sight in one day but the Fenix could shoot excellently right from the first shot out of the box. I was using JSB Exacts and could get inch groups at 20+ yds with most of them cutting into the holes of other shots. I should take it/them out again but I have too many rifles and sometimes I just don't know which is my flavor of the week. You know how it goes..!! The Fusion should be able to outshoot the Fenix (or at least be just as good) once you get used to it...

Oh yeah, It looks good and has a nice feel to it. It don't even feel heavy with that 2 lbs. scope on it.

I feel pretty sure I can get some good groups when I try a bit harder. I've already seen I can hit push-pins which aren't a lot bigger diameter than the .22 pellet at 30 yards as long as I put the effort into it. Will have to get a better rest to see if I'm getting any fliers. Only had a few shots that surprised me with where they hit. The rest I knew was me and a non A/O scope either giving me a blurred target or crosshairs.

Ah, the right scope or at least the right kind of scope,, always pays off... You have got to have an AO scope for parallax adjustment and then always adjust the exit lens to suit your eye...

Truth be known, you're probably a better shot than me anyway. I never made any claims about great shooting,, why,, because sometimes I couldn't hit the side of a barn, from inside it... Other times, I get lucky, but with a Fenix or Fusion infront of you, you are at least on the right track...
