In Washington airguns cant be used at all to hunt   Not even rabbits!

In NORTH CAROLINA, airguns are NOT even mentioned in the Hunting Regulations, at all, not even under "Means of Taking", one way or the other.

I have seen people approach airgun hunting with that thought as well.  I really have no idea since I am not an experienced hunter.  Mostly I dont want to do some thing "against the law" and I am much more wary about it because I find the regs confusing and have no practical experience.

I would be curious what a game warden or conservation officer would say - seriously, I am curious, not trying to be a jerk ha ha.

Here in Canada: Ontario at least
Turkey: shotgun and bow only.
Small game: largest cal is .275
Large game: airguns are out.... no matter the size. They do not generate minimum fpe

Melvin call the fish hawks and you will find that possum, nutria, starlings, and english sparrows are fair game for us air gunners. Eastern Wa. has magpies and several others.

The way I suggest folks approach the game/weapons laws, it to picture coming into contact with an enforcement officer with a quota to fill on the 28th day of the month who doesn't like citizens having guns, doesn't like hunters, doesn't like the way I look, etc looking to write me up any way he can.  Then I picture a judge siding with the enforcement officer whenever a grey area is encountered, thereby setting a precedent that isn't in airgunnings' favor.

I avoid grey areas like the plague.  Don't just read the regulations....read the DEFINITIONS of the terminology used in the regulations.  One little word can screw everything up.  In Oregon, those words are "firearm",  and "centerfire", along with what constitutes an "ignition system" on a "muzzleloader".

The problem with hunting in California is , most of the land is private....and trying to find BLM or other public lands is darn near impossible unless I want drive at least Six hours.
As for pigs... We got em . and biggins too.
last summer five Turkey landed in my yard... I nearly cried....can't touch em.
