After being away from my ag's for a while I was pretty excited to pull out the old Fire 201 9mm yesterday and do some shooting. I had plenty of the 105 and 102gr slugs i molded last summer but thought i'd try the tin of 9mm eu jin i had laying around. I had ignored them in my quest to throw heavier lead, had even considered melting them down to recast. Kinda glad I didn't, they fit the bore well and shot every bit as accurate as my home cast/resized slugs. They generate almost identical energy as the 102gr slugs, the 77.8gr eujins did 814fps out of the stock 201 on high power, making 113ftlbs at 10ft. The 102gr does 712fps making 114. Of course at farther range the inertia of the heavier slug might contain an advantage but for the small/medium game intended either would work well. I was surprised at how well they preformed and if their made to fit a gun you own I would say they're worth trying. Biggest skirted "pellet" I've ever seen come out of a tin too, quite a wow factor when compared to say, a .177. I'm glad to have them as an easy to obtain option. J

Those 77.8 gr. pellets are the only ones that will work in the Career 707 but the accuracy really not worthy. If they shoot good in your 201 then you got lucky. What are the 102 gr. bullets that you cast? Thanks.

Thanks RIchard, its darned good to be back, slow new internet connection is better than none till I get settled in somewhere permanent.
George I've had good success in the 201 using the inexpensive lee double cavity molds. My favorite is the 102gr roundnose, model 356-102-1r , its in. 356 diameter but I run it through a. 357 sizing die and it removes lead. I also use lee model .358-105-SWC, 105gr in a wadcutter, the .357 resizing die removes LOTS of lead off this slug and it's not as accurate as the 102gr RN. For the average backyard shooter, me anyways, the lee molds work great and are about 20 bucks on Ebay.

Manny which other store bought pellets will work in the Ultra 707? The Eun Jins are the only ones I could find. I know that the Dash W/C work very well in your Ultra. Is there some pellets I overlooked that work in the mag of a 707?

Ballistic Product 71gr Roundball works great,...at 5 cents a round
On the Matts lineup both the 75gr and 100gr WC work flawlessly at 9 cents a round
