Falling In Love All Over

Well, I had a fairly good day in the shop. My Retay 135X Sniper has been disabled since November. I was beginning to think that getting the parts to fix it was just a pipe dream. But Joao Mello of American-ArmsCorp.com  contacted the president of Retay and had them ship all the pieces parts I needed to get my baby back in good health. I received the package yesterday and set out this morning to see what I could do.
I drilled out the pivot pin for the broken cocking lever and replaced it with the new stuff. I did a little cleanup and lube of the roller on the articulated linkage to make sure it did not hang and fail as before. Then I slapped it all into the new stock Retay sent.



I VERY cautiously watched the linkage as I cocked the gun to make sure it was not going to break again. I sure didn't want to see the gun fail after waiting so darn long. 
All was well. I threw on a scope and fired a few shots into my pellet trap at 10 yards. MAN I forgot what a powerhouse this gun is. LOL



It sure felt good to sling some lead with her. This is one sweet and powerful gun and I fell in love all over again. I really can't wait to get her outside for some longer range lead slinging. I hope some of you pick one of these up, they really are excellent airguns. I just hope Retay starts doing a better job of customer support. Being a young company may have something to do with it. And MANY thanks again to Joao for getting Retay to do the right thing!!!!

glad to see it back together, I'm still a little leary of the retay because of customer service at this point. Hopefuly they'll get better and we'll see more of them.

Try Joao from American-ArmsCorp.com or Richard at Airscopes.com. Both of these members are distributors for Retay. Richard originally got mine last year when Retay first started producing them. It's been tough getting them here. And we have a Retay 100X up for raffle this month by the way. A good way for somebody to win one. Take a look in the Anouncements Gate.
