Well after many of pellets and tons and tons of ragged gamo targets, I think its safe to say that JSB 15.8 and JSB 18.1 grain pellets do the best in mine. I've tried 11 others (including the ever popular H&N FTT's and benjamin discovery HP's) and these two group the best. I say these 2 because it goes back and forth on which one does better for the day. Both consistantly group within a quarter 20 yards, sometimes with a flyer, sometimes not. Always ragged holes though. But what impresses me about this gun is when I do my part, and it does its, I get dime groups at 20 yards. I'm impressed so much because I only had a phantom .22 before this. And after tuning the *(&^ out of that,
super
smooth now, and zeroing in for bullseye, I would get maybe nickel sized groups. With my trail np .22, moly'd, deburred, sanded, copper pivot washers, no GTX trigger, its not rare and happens quite often are dime groups. I've yet to try groups at further range as my yard has 20 yards... probably 30 if I can ever get a weedwhacker. And sorry for resurrecting this topic, but I had to report my results. This thread helped me tons! If wondering, the JSB 14.3gr and 13.43gr do decent as well in mine. JSB's are awesome pellets! Thanks for reading!

My NP likes two pellets, CPHP's from Wally and the Predator polymags. The group is CPHP's at 30 yards from a rest. The target is Predators except for the bottom row (CPHP'S) also shot at 30 yards, but off the top of the car using a sand bag.

I personally found, after 1000's of rounds fired and about 18 different pellet types tested at 10,15 and 25 yards, my most accurate and most consistant pellets are Benjamin Discovery HP 14.3gr. Can we please add this to the vote list?

Thanks for starting this - very helpful!
Just breaking in my (refurb) Trail - 100 shots since I got it.
1. CPHP 14.3
2. CP dome 14.3
3. H&N FTT 14.66
Testing done at 15 & 20 yds. I'm still getting used to the gun so that may play a part. I am waiting on some heavier pellets that should be in next week. I couldn't get he RWS Super Dome to group well at either distance.

you will want to put several hundred shots thru it before wasting any time testing ammo. My Titan NP .22 didnt really dial in until bout 600 rnds. My brothers Nitro Venom Dusk .22 was dialed in by 400 shots. All 3 the same guns just different stocks & scopes.
If you havent already, I would thoroughly clean the barrel. Mine and my brothers were very dirty.
I would also highly recommend upgrading to a GRT-3 trigger.
Happy shooting,
Todd

as far as pellets are concerned, isnt the pellet the 3rd variable in this equation...1st being the rifle, 2nd being the shooter & 3rd being the pellet. If the rifle isnt tuned, and the shooter isnt tuned, lol, then defining the 3rd variable is going to be difficult.
Out of the box these cheap gamo clones are anything but consistent- inferior damaged seals & poor lubrication. At least I dont consider an 18-20 fps variance consistent...well tuned your talking 6-8 fps. The POS trigger on these rifles is a variable in itself...a trigger job is a must...GRT-3 blade upgrade at minimum.
If the shooter isnt in tune with shooting air rifles, well...doesnt matter what rifle or ammo your using you wont consistently hit a baseball @ 20 yds.
Dont get me wrong, I love my Titan...after doing a full-on trigger job. But it desperately needs a good tune...hoping to talk to Gene after the 1st of the year
My untuned Titan really likes crosman premier domes for target and crosman destroyers- not ex- for pest control. Ive shot lots of different, more expensive pellets without the results to justify spending 2...3...4 times as much. That may change after Gene waves his magic wand over it.
I do my testing @ 20 & 40 yds shooting prone off a bench, and Im trying not to drive myself crazy with this issue until a good tune.
Happy shooting,
Todd

You are right about the 3 variables and tune. I may disagree about the trigger though. Sure, it may make the trigger pull smooth, lighter but I've managed to pull dime groups at 23 yards. Once you remove the ten pound trigger "adjuster" spring and actually put in the practice to use the trigger, deburr, moly, you should see reasonable results.
I don't think I'll see better 5 shot groups smaller than a dime with .22 pellets at 23 yards with this budget of an AG and just a trigger change.
But
I do know
I would see these amazing groups more often than not if I upgrade to a GTX trigger
So if you can't get a GRT/GTX trigger, remove that nasty spring and actually practice with your rifle, its really fun and this "cheap Gamo clone" can produce great results!.... If it's not having other issues

oh yee of little faith, lol. My brother said the same thing until he shot my titan. He brought his nitro venom over the next day to have his done. On the venom I just filed all the edges of the 3 parts & housing and stretched the springs...didnt install the GRT-3, left in the stock blade w/ spring. He loves it. I promise it will make your rifle more shootable and more accurate
It can all be done inside a couple hrs. Ive got it down to a 40 min job at this point. I installed the GRT-3 in my titan just to shorten the now smooth & crisp pull. And yes it does take some learning to shoot the GRT-3, but well worth the couple cans of pellets.
If $33 for the GRT-3 isnt in the works, then take the time to file the stock assymbly parts...your rifle & groups with love you for it. And you just might love it a lil more too.
Sorry to hijack the thread,
Todd
