Crosman 100-new seals ect.

Hello,

I have my grandfathers old crosman 100 that doesn't pump pressure. Those of you who have the same or close to same model is there an updated pump assembly? The one i have has the old leather pump cup. Also Iv'e notice some here has replaced seals on these old rifles. What venders have you bought from? Any links for rebuilding these things?

 Yes---very much so. I have the best luck actually getting Ron on the phone if I call @ 9-9:30 AM. Be sure to buy the special tool to take it apart and reassemble it. In fact you'll probably have to get the tool first so you can take it apart to measure the diameter of the seals so Ron can sell you the right ones.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of just to fab up a tool, but you know how that go's lol. I found another web site that requires the pump rod assembly as an exchange so I'm thinking it is a better rod with pump cup they sell.

Find a spare socket that fits the inside of the hammer tube tightly and grind it to fit the nuts---not much to it---just easier to throw $ at a factory tool.

 That should be the case----should have the -036 pump cup already installed. FWIW----IIRC the pump rod is identical to the one on the successor M-140. The pump arm & linkage as well I think since the early Sears version of the 140 that I restored a few years ago used the 101 pump arm & linkage.   Tom

Well I took off the pump rod and scrapped the leather seal. I then found some o rings from a multi kit I have and stacked two in the groove. She pumps up, and shoots pretty hard lol. I captured a pellet to see if there was any riffled marks on it...very faint. I haven't really cleaned anything on it yet. Maybe after running a patch or two down the barrel will liven up the riffling...might be filled up with lead.

Pics soon to come When I break her down...right now I'm just enjoying shooting at least until the o rings give up.

I have a 101 that is fun to shoot.  Its not known for stellar accuracy, but its "can top" accurate at 25 yds with Gamo match.   Thats really about all the energy is worth on it.   It is "in the brass" with a black bolt area and the wood is VERY nice.  Don't know what it is, but has this great tiger striping when the light catches it right.

Very neat little gun. 

Bryan and Associates can supply most parts.  Tim in NC rebuilt mine, and changed out the piston to one that will accept the pump cup. 
Mine is doing right what factory specs said.   I had planned on beefing it up and making a hunter from it, but I dont believe THIS particular 101 is the platform for it....
Just a nice piece of Crosman history to have .    I have seen posts of guys who really hotrod these, and they turn into guns that can compete with stock 392's these days.
Sure are good looking guns.

Your 101 sounds pretty nice. I read that fps was about 500-650 on the 101 models. Any links to for the "hot rod mods"? My seal finally started to leak, so I sacrificed some sockets and made the tools to break down the Valve. Looking at the valve assembly the only thing I can think about how to mod it is porting the exhaust port...but the benefits might no be much worth it. My model is a 100 and shoots .117's. While it was working I know it was shooting fast...it would bury pellets pretty deep at 35 yards. How fast? I duno...my chrono is broken.I do know my grandfather hunted squirrel and small vermin with it.
