XS46U ?

Has anyone had any experience with XISICO's US46U rifle? Apparently it's fairly new. I can't find out too much about it. It appears to be a cloned HW97 but is it a carbine? I have a HW97K in 177 and wouldn't mind having one in 22. I know Flying Dragon has them but you have to contact Mike for pricing----which naturally depends whatever tuning you might want. I'm wondering what the base price is. I'm curious as to the fit, finish and build quality of the internals. How does this rifle stack up to the HW97 in overall fit, finish, accuracy...etc.?
Thanks

I have two 46U's both with the gas ram installed. Shooting characteristics the shot cycle is fast and abrupt like a Titan but seem softer due to the weight of the gun. Mine came with Mikes standard tune, gas ram installed, for $170. I think I saw on his sight that he had one ram left.
Between the two rifles I prefer the .177 over the .22 but that may be because the .177 has close to 1000 rounds through it and is broke in.
As for comparison to an HW I wouldn't know. All of my keeper guns are from Mike and none of them cost more than 250.

I have one in .177 and love it! Gun is a little on the heavy and long side but I like 'em like that. trash the scope it comes with though...I did it was junk! But it is a hard hitter and very accurate. Plus the one I have has the Quattro trigger and SAS system. I've heard that some don't.........

I thinks the power plant and trigger are the same or similar as a TF 99. I see Flying Dragon list price at $129.95 shipped. It is basically the same as a Browning Leverage which advertised with an adjustable trigger. I like to see if it is a miss print. If not curious to see if the XS46U can be modified to that trigger if adjustable.
Not sure but I think Mikem5000 is comparing the XS46U to another airgun.

It's strange that he tossed the scope, the Xisico and REX scopes have been really great from the feed back I have gotten, with the lifetime warranty on them you are throwing money away if it's jusnk....

Never had a REX, but my 3-9x40AO and 4x32AO Xisico scopes are great performers. I'd forgotten about the warranty. Doubt I'll ever need it, but nice to know its there. Thanks for the reminder Mike.

as the Xisico scopes are made by REX they are much the same...just hoping they can get some mil-dot types into the warehouse...have to sell what is there first though...

thanks for the comments, guys. It appears the rifle has a good reputation. Any thoughts on the quietness of the 22? Would it be considered as a "back-yard neighborhood" friendly rifle? I'd think the gas rammed rifle would be the way to go. And what velocity would the 22 generate with, say...12 to 14 grain pellets? I guess I'm asking for personal observations here. Anything that I can learn at this point will be very helpful...thanks.

I think Mike might have a gas ram for that air rifle in .22 cal. I would call him asap on it.

As for noise I shoot mine in the basement with the wife and kids sleeping right above by shooting bench. I can do this with both the .177 and .22 . I believe that the .22 does make more noise than the .177.

Yeah...he did, but I contacted him a bit too late. His last one had already been sold. Mike told me he was going to check tonight to see when more rams will be available. He thought it might take a couple of weeks or so to resupply. I'll check back with him then.

I'm enjoying the one that I got from Mike. It's a hard-hitting monster with a great shot cycle. I have the gas ram .22. I did some testing the first day I got it, and here are some pics. The shots were at 20 yards, semi-supported. This was with JSB Exact heavies, which it throws at 676-680 fps, according to my chronograph. I also tested it with RWS Super H Points, and those chrono at ~740 fps.
My only criticism of this rifle is the single stage trigger. It is also a bit on the heavy side, but that never bothers me much.
It's hard to compare this rifle to the HW97. They are pretty significantly different in size. The 46U is not a clone of anything. It has a single stage trigger, albeit a good one.

The gun is heavy, not the trigger, by the way. The trigger is nice and light for what it is.
