marauder left handed bolt mod

i want to mod the bolt handle on my gun to have a left handed bolt.

my question is this.  aside from the lever location , does it matter in what position the rest of the bolt is in?  like is there a notch anywhere that needs to line up with anything , or is it just a rod that goes through and pushes the pellet into the bore?

only reason i ask is because my marauder won't be here till friday and im mulling in my head on how to do this.

if the bolt rod is just that a rod , i was planning on buying another bolt setup , cutting the handle off , and tig welding it on the other side to make it left handed , make it as professional as i can..

will that work ?

im sure ill have alot better idea once it gets here , im just so excited lol

Not sure it can be done? The bolt also cock's back the striker/hammer(you will see a hex head screw on left side when you get your gun), but maybe with cutting a new slot on right an everything it might work? You should of looked at the pistol if you wanted this feature, as it come's set up this way. Good Luck.

 I think it can be done, but the bolt has to be tapped for the hex screw so that it can still move in the slot and you'd need to add the small indentation that the screw at the back of the breech interacts with. Sounds like it would be a little tricky without the proper tools, but with the proper tools it should be easily doable.

well what i had in mind would keep all that stock.

all i was thinking of doing was closing the bolt like usual , marking where it would need to go on the left side , removing the bolt , cutting off handle , and welding it on the left side , so that when the bolt is closed the handle points up , so if the handle was still on the right it would point down.

pretty straight forward idea, might look different , but it would work for me individually till something better came along.
