Target rifles

For 10 meter how about an HW30. Brand new they can be had under 300 or in PCP a CZ200, if you can find one.

HW30 has a full size stock, the R7 version has a 14 or 14-1/2 Length of Pull.
A bit too long for me to shoot off-hand.  On a bench, the LoP is OK.
The stock is a conventional sportster stock, not the target stock like on your 953.
And it will recoil, not a lot compared other sportsters.  But a LOT compared to your 953.
While it is a nice rifle, it is not a match/target rifle.

Lizzie, does it have to be a spring-gun? Have you looked at the QB78 / AR2078 guns (co2). No recoil, dead nuts accurate (with the good ones) and a nice trigger etc etc. The AR2078 is the target version but it can be scoped too and... it has a de-gassing tool that allows for easy change of co2 and/or bulk-fill from a 20 ounce paintball tank. $200-ish gets you in the game.

Mike Mellick or ^&$@_=s would be my choice to buy from.

If Liz does not get that 300 that Brian linked to, some of you might be interested in it.  It is an older 300 w/o the barrel/muzzle weight.  This makes it lighter and easier to use for the casual shooter.

I prefer to have the barrel weight, as it helps to dampen out my wobble.

I think I emailed that guy, and it was already sold, unless I'm thinking of another gun, lol. I've done lots of googling and emailing for the past few days, so I could be mistaken.

The type of rifle you are seeking makes good sense Lizzie.
The FWB 300 and comparable rifles will shoot better than
99+% of the population. It puts it all on the shooter.
Anything less than that type of quality will be disappointing
at some point in time.

There are three guys at our club who still shoots the older
side lever FWB's in our 10 meter matches. Those rifles are
capable of shooting as well as anything on the line. They
might not look as high tech, and they require a little more
effort to shoot than the others. But the bottom line is,,
they shoot.

They are precision paper punchers. The QB's mentioned earlier
are nice rifles. But once your skills progress to a certain point,
you will be seeking something else.

Stay the course Lizzie, buy the rifle that you know will
shoot where the trigger breaks and shoot it the rest of your life.

Be patient, the rifle you seek will come available to you.
