I put a drop of RWS Chamber Lube on the piston seal from time to time. Mine seems to like RWS R10 pellets. It is a low maintenance pistol with a great trigger. The long sight radius is a plus for competition and over all accuracy. If you have any specific questions concerning the 46M PM me and I will be glad to help...

Wife gave me the 46m for x-mass. Best shooting pistol i've ever owned, great trigger. R-10 work great. Also stoger match work just as good. Good luck with it.

Leave the breech open when you store it. Otherwise you will wear out the gaskets prematurely.

Not another Izzy! I'm going to have to put in even more practice with my lowly 2300T now. Darn. I just hate having another excuse to put more pellets down range
Congrats be4meliz. Enjoy your fine shooter!

@RP
80% of the score is the guy behind the trigger.
Several years ago, I was shoot with a friend of mine. Me with a Walther match pistol, him with a Beeman P3. I think he beat me 90% of the time.
The only exception to that is a gun with a LOUSEY trigger. Like trying to shoot a double action pistol against single action pistols. That long hard pull really mess up the accuracy. Make it worse with a rough sear where the pull is gritty and accuracy heads down the toilet.
BTW how do you like your 2300T. I'm interested in that pistol. Although I wish I still had my old Mark II. That was a really nice pistol to shoot. I may have to see if I can get a rebuilt one from Mac-1.

Agree, at least 80%. The fine things in life have a way of inspiring practice too.
At risk of thread hi-jack, I do like my 2300T. The trigger adjustment allows it to be lightened up enough for me. I haven't bothered trying to polish or otherwise work on it. I like it OK as is, but I've never had a "match pistol" trigger either. Best I can compare to is a stock Ruger MKII Competition 22LR pistol. The 2300T trigger is as good and lighter than that I think. The CO2 mechanics and seals seem simple and robust. The plastic grips that come with were terrible, but mine now wears a set of ambidextrous walnut RB Sportsman grips (not available from Crosman, but ordered from Ralph Brown). I get 50-60 shots out of a CO2 cartridge before the paper holes get too ragged from velocity drop. The rear LPA sight has white dots
and the front plastic post does not. A black Sharpie marker solved that problem. The front post is too narrow - lots of white space on each side of the post in the rear notch. Recovered pellets barely show rifling engagement. I don't know if that is normal for low velocity pistol, or a sign the 2300S with the LW barrel is a better option. The power adjuster on the 2300S just seems like something else to break to me though. I've heard the Crosman Custom Shop 2300's are not quite the same (fewer shots or maybe trigger difference, I really don't know), but I'd confirm that with Crosman before not going that route to configure as you want it. If Crosman sold the weighted front post sight muzzle break seperately (they don't - I checked), I'd give that a try to see if it reduced the white space in the rear notch. And I might be tempted by the LW barrel option. That's all the ugly I can think of. The good is quite nice. It balances and shoots well and is a good value in my opinion.

This is the kind of pistol you can shoot for the rest of
your life. (And probably never out shoot it)
Mine was purchased in December of 2000.
I shot it three times a week, building up
until I could comfortably shoot a 60 round match.
Won Sharpshooter class in the Indiana state championship
with it the following April.
Have done nothing to it but add a drop or so of non detergent
30 weight to the pump seal when it starts "sounding different".
It is used very sparingly.
All seals are original still. And it still shoots incredibly well.
Mine has been virtually maintenance free. Hard telling how
many thousands of rounds has gone through it.
Always release the breech lock when storing to keep the o-rings from
"taking a set". You don't want to cock it, just push the latch forward until
it releases.
Once you have it a while consider modifying the grips. I used a dremel tool with
a 5/8 and 1/2 inch sanding drum. I gripped the pistol and marked the center line
of each finger and started there. Work slowly allowing the sandpaper to work.
I taped over the breech area to keep the dust out.
Once I got them feeling nice.
I took a 3/32 center punch and ground a nice long tapered point on it. Using a 2 oz.
ballpeen hammer, I stippled the outline of the areas and then held the punch just
above the wood and started pecking away.
(I did this with the grips removed of course)
Once the stippling was done. I used a thick, almost paste type of walnut stain
and rubbed it into the stippled areas. Then took an air hose and blew away the
excess. Since the grips was sealed, the stain just wiped off from the other areas.
The initials was printed on the computer. Then I taped the paper to the grip and used
one of the Wren tattoo gun type engraving tools to do the outline. Then used the
stippling punch to fill it in.
Some photos;
