New guy with a question

Hi everyone. Im new and chiing in from Ohio.
I just purchased a slightly used (Less than 500 pellets) TX200HC from a co-worker. I have been shooting it the past week and have ran around 300 pellets thru it. I am using a center point 4x16 scope on top. I have a 20 yard range set up in my barn so that wind does not impact my shooting right now. The gun will shoot great and produce .25" -.375" groups at that range once i learned how to hold it to table it and hold it. The problem that i am having is the point of impact changes from shooting session to the next session usually around a .5" in any direction. The gun will group great every session but the POI changes. I have been very cautious to not change my shooting set up and holding technique but the POI changes with every session. Is this common? Does the gun Need more break in time? Maybe the scope is bad? Maybe its my shooting or high expectations for this set up? I would like for it to hit the same spot everytime i pull it out with no tweaking. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the New GTA Forums buckeye !
The Best Air Gun Forums on the Internet !!!!!! And, It's Such a GREAT PLACE TO BE !!!!!
If the screws that hold your action are tight, I would bet it is a change in temperature between the house and the barn.
Let it adapt to the surrounding temperature before you start your shooting.
Now that you are a member of our Air Gun Family, I hope to see you here often !

Welcome Fellow "Buckeye" To The GTA,have you checked to see if all the stock bolt's are tight an take a pencil an mark a line on scope mount base at reciever an ring's on scope to check if they are moving any while shooting? These springer's will rock a scope's world bad.

A one piece mount with stop pin could solve the problem.

Im pretty sure the scope is on tight and not moving, but i will check. I did run a couple of dry cleaning patches thru the barrel. It seems to have had a little bit of dirty oil in it. Im not sure what kind of impact that would of had. I guess i didnt think about the 20 degree F temp change from the house to the barn.
Are Center point scopes decent quality?
By the way im from west central part of Ohio near Sidney.
Thanks for the replies!!

Welcome Buckeye...............less than 500 rounds could ba a lot less. If everything is tight and you cleaned the barrell, just shoot a tin through it. It takes a little time to get it broke in, and to get the feel of that smooth power, not to mention that fine trigger. It will also take 15 or 20 pellets to warm it up each outing, it will improve as it breaks in.
