760 - $25 and 25 shots in

not a tack driver at 9 yds, but with open sights and 25 shots in after opening my new 760 this morning, no complaints.  That middle shot was me, not the gun, using Daisy wadcutters.  Will make a fine paper puncher and can cutter in the basement

Very true!  I have to sight/aim below the target and then lift the sight to the target (guess work).  The first outer ring around the black dot/bullseye (in vid) is slightly less in diameter than a 25 cent piece, I can't see the bullseye when shooting.

A small scope would certainly make things better, but still fun (and cheap) as BigErn mentioned

Try using the 6 O'clock hold. set the sight so the target is on top of the front sight

Money well spent. Is the new pump handle better then the older ones. I really like the looks of new ones But just got the older model but it,s a great bb-shooter will spend some time tring pellets this winter. Front sight is big but rear matches well. I think crosman thinks we will be shooting at running deer or other big game.

OK, let's hear it. How many were taught to put the black on top of the front sight? I was taught to do that on the firing range on Parris Island in 1969 (bullseye target at 200, 300, and 500 yards with aperture sights on a 7.62 M-14). The most interesting sight on that range at that time was a sign that said "We trained Lee Harvey Oswald."

Since then, I've usually put the target on the front sight

  I mainly shoot a 760 from  about '09.  From a ways out, the sight is a bit big.  i purchased a daisy 10 dollar scope and I instantly saw a massive difference.  I went from shooting 3-5 inch groups to 2-3 inch groups consistantly at 10 yards.  I shoot pointed or domed pellets, they fly better than the mini "armour peircing style" destroyer pellets.  I hunt for pests, and a cheap scope makes it a easier and more interesting prospect.

Trigger at 10 yards you should be able to get dime to nickel size groups.

2-3 inch groups at 10 yards is pretty bad.  I get that from shooting bbs.  2-3 inch group is not hunting/pesting accuracy.

Inside 10 yards I prefer the 10.5 grain domed pellet....its most accurate for me.  Using these heavy pellets I can get dime size groups at 10 yards.

If I am shooting while standing, I am getting those groups.  I am getting 5 shot groups in about a quarter at bench.  I was noticing that the gun really hopped when I pulled the trigger.  I am able to shoot very tight groups at bench, but I am an awfull shot while standing, even with my new backpacker.
