while grilling some fantastic Ribeyes from the local butcher, (had him cut them 1" thick), i hear the ever so familiar sound of cutting... cutting on MY PECANS... i turn around, and yep, there's this guy... standing oh so bold... 15 feet up the pecan tree, on the main branch... cutting on a nut. so i calmly walk around the house, grab the XL, walk back around, and take careful aim at 18 yds, on 16x.... right between the eye and ear... send pred loose... it was all she wrote... this weekend will be nutter tacos. i keep fearing i will wear out the population...... and they keep coming. the pred did exit... and embeded in the pecan tree i'm sure.

You're serious business with your XL. I think you should let me hold those steaks for you while you hunt.

Nice shooting with the XL Ed! I am sure news of that Pecan tree of yours has traveled through many squirrel communities for a few blocks. They 'll just keep coming until the town runs out of them
I hope you get some good news soon to counter the bad ones..
