She arrived 3 days early...

Very nice eye candy. Hope to get a chance to shoot her tomorrow. Arrived with not one scratch or ding. Beautiful dark walnut with very nicely done fore an aft checkering.

Will be taking pictures tomorrow if the weather holds out. Yummmm Yummmmmm....

My 95 .22 arrived yesterday from airgun Daily/Depot, Richards .177 should arrive Wed as I'm in the furthest corner away from NY in San Diego. All I can say is wow, the Turkish walnut knocks your sox off. I ran it across the chrony and its reading 815-825 with 14.3g, I would say its at least the 33lb cocking effort advertised, hope it loosens up with use. I like the trigger, the scope is a typical non AO OEM china affair, better than the one that shipped with my Titan though in that this one may be usable.

I'm real curious what you find on the inside Gene, from the outside these crush anything I've seen from China.

Just got up Mark..

I will be taking pictures in a while and shooting her. Still need to mount scope first. Prolly won't get around to disecting her until next week. I do have the Winchester 850 XS .22 and she shoots in the low 800 fps rang like your 95. They share the exact same powerplants. Both stocks are walnut and both share the SAS and Quattro triggers.

The WInchester 850 XS is built like a tank and IMO last a lifetime if taken care of properly. But I will do a picture review on the new Mod 95 .177 tear down.

Those Walnut stocks ROCK..

While I'm usually a proponent of a matte finish this was too nice to let sit without a quick wax, for laser checkering its as good as I have held and makes it work ok with a slick finish.

got a winchester 1100xsu and its a fine well built gun love the trukish walnut and checkering .like you said built like a tank and seems accurate for fast. mine seems to like benji discovery pcp 10.5 grains so far havent got to shoot much . i also had to wax the stock up its NICE hope you like yours i like mine and the trigger is fine no creep smooth right out of the box ,maked you think you payed lots more for your gun

Thanks Brutuz, but I prefer Weavers on springers...

But yes you are right the asthetics are clearer without the Weaver rail system.

This .22 I have has 200+ pellets through it now (14.3 tin Walmart Crosman hollow point). Its a stiff short barrel cocker, not as tough as my Diana 350 but a bit tougher than the medium Titan/Trail. The chrony numbers on mine show the same, typically on a Titan I get 720fps I'm seeing 815 fps still on the 95.

The shooting cycle on this still unbroken in rifle is a little tricky to describe. I'm not sure what the SAS dampener does exactly, it has a milder ping than a Marauder, it seems to dampen rebound. I will have to leave it to Gene to describe it as its not as abrupt as a gas spring but not as lengthy as my 350. It is certainly manageable if my example is any indicator out of the box. I do know one thing though at my age and stage in life I do not want the 1200fps power plant, this is at the upper edge of what I find pleasurable to shoot. That said it is a pleasure to shoot and I have seen nothing from China to compare. Looking at the steel linkage rather than sheet metal and such, its just a throwback to old school, overbuilt build to last.

I don't know how to describe the stock, the stock if you where to buy a custom to fit would be a bargain at the full price of the 95. They throw in a neat T34 airgun for free.

Disclaimer, I shot a plastic stocked magnum marked "Made in Turkey" this past summer, I suspect its an early version of the 1200fps powerplant they are offering now. It was horrible, but I see many of the same manufacturing features so in all likelihood it was a Hatsan. Weird thing is the guy that owned it was very accurate with it, for me though it wasn't a good shooting experience, way to much for fps, nothing for the shooter.

Gene your to much, my father used to call me Brenton, its cool, you are my senior so I respect that, just caught me a little by suprise ha. So Gene are you going to do a full tune for accuracy or for power ? I think it should be a accuracy tune, heak even if you loose some fps it has plenty, I bet its a one holer for sure with the way these are built. Brenton

I totally agree wiff Mark on the out of the box impression. Cocking cycle short, abit stiff but a pleasure to shoulder and shoot.

I will be giving the Mod 95 a complete turbo tune. Will be using the stock spring again and the seals from what I have seen are usually in great shape unlike the Chinese manufactured airguns.

Euro guns very rarely have bad seals when I have tuned them. Just normal wear. From what I have seen so far Hatsan utilizes similar manufacturing practices as the Euro manufacturers.

For all my own personal springer's, breakbarrels, I tune them for overall cocking and shooting cycle performance and of course for accuracy.
