I can't say anything Negative about the Sumatra .25 as mine has been a Great Gun! I had an issue,(just a Freak) where a screw wasn't loctited on rail and I had to send it back,,but it's actually Better now than it was New.

I love Mine!

Sorry,Pyramid Air has them at a good price,,and they are also awesome for service work as well.

What is his intended use? Target? Hunting? Just for the fun of it?

.25 for hunting.
.22 for hunting or target (pellets are cheaper and more choices are available).

.177...I wouldn't really recommend unless he just wants one.

I think the .25 Carbine is next on my list.

He has a few nice airguns, but he is bored and needs to move on to the PCP.  More stuff to play with.

If I were in Michigan I would see if Jim at
Precision Airguns could get a Sumatra. I'm sure he could and that way it's an in state purchase
