was in bass pro today in springfield,mo. they sat a half a pallet of winchester 1100xsu's on the floor of the outlet store . the price was $105.00 i about fell over cheep price with scope and scope stop . i said im short on $$$ she sais wasnt that gun priced at $300 in the main store? i said yes dear ... she bought it for me and she said i had too many guns humm wonder what she needs? anyway got it home and it has some handeling marks on the forearm at the front otherwise looked fine ,i think i can steam them out. i swabbed the barrel out with gunzillia and ran 4 dry 1's still dirty so it took 2 more wet swabs finally got a clean patch to come out white,took it outside and shot it wow it hit hard had a little recoil but hit hard ,i shot it about 10 times it dieseled first 3-4 shots then quit smoking . looks like tomorrow its gonna get a workout and try to break it in befor installing the scope but it seems to hit close to where i was aiming and the trigger was fine,it has the gold trigger . hope tomorrow is a good day as i just gotta shoot it some more.i just wonder what model of hatsan it is? but for the price dont see how i opps she went wrong . but aint i lucky to have a wife like i have

wish i had a crony i was looking at a video on youtube about this gun and they had great report on it. the trigger felt like 1 on a higher priced gun. tomorrow i can say more about it when the sun is brighter and i get some paper hangin on the post

sad news or not i was shootin it sunday and it kept hitting to the left so i adjusted the sight still more to the left., i sat it down on my bench and discovered the bolt was binding up... helt it normally with hand on forearm ,the bolt worked fine, discovered the tube the barrel slides in was loose. i called basspro ,they told me bring it back and get another. but i found why they are soo cheep,seems as a pallet of those nice winchesters was tipped over and they are selling them cheep im going up this saturday and exchange it . they told me i could also send it in on warrenty but heck i will go through the whole bunch till i find a gun thay dont show any troubles . sad part this 1 has a really nice figgured piece of turkish walnut ... mabe there is some more with a nice stock. but if another has trouble im gonna send it to the factory as i did like the power but you win some and loose some . this was a fine looking gun but i suppose when it fell it was a bottom gun that took the jar but stock didnt show any damage anyway saturday afternoon i will be back with another so i can report on its status

went to bass pro last night , got another and checked it out thourghly it seems ok so i brought it home and swabbed the barrel out. real dirty lots of brown junk no shavings but looked like cosmoline used 3 dips og gunzillia several patches finally got it clean . has a nicely finished turkish walnut stock. today got in several shots . it hits real hard didnt diesel like i thought it would but i cleaned it well. so far it seems to like benji discovery 10.5 pcp pellets, tomorrow im gonna get more shot but its a fine shooting gun so far

took the winchester up to my powder burner gunsmith frien who thinks air guns are kids bb guns , let him shoot it with some benji pcp discovery 10.5 grains .he shot an old dry oak block at 50 feet. we measured the depth the pellet went in,it went in 1/2" he was shocked and said what power and accuracy. we then took a 22 with a log in it almost the same depth ,less than a 1/16" diffrence. he kept talkin about the looks and quality,he liked the turkish walnut stock and the quatro trigger . belive its a keeper

 I was in Bass Pro Saturday as well. I didn't make it to the outlet store however so I missed that one. I went in the main store to buy some scope rings....two clerks in the gun department, told me I'd have to go to the gunsmith shop there so they could fit the rings to my rifle! Wouldn't listen to my explanation of the type of rifle I wanted 'em for, just "go over to the gunsmith department so they could fit the scope rings".
  Robert, do you live in Springfield? I was born and raised here and live about a mile and a half from Bass Pro. Next time you're in that store, yell "HEY LARRY"... if I'm in the store, I'll answer. LOL.

The more that you shoot that rifle, the more that you are going to like it. I use mine primarily for hunting. I have a leapers 3-12X40AO scope on it and it is deadly accurate. This is a link to video review of the Winchester 1100XSU.

TARDIP i watched that video and i agree with you ,but the first 1 had beed on the bottom of the pallet that got dropped didnt mess wood up but the barrel tube was loose ,got the other and its just strong as can be shoots a far way. i keep hearing its too fast but i took long aim at a steel yard chair that is goin to the junk and twang i hit it hard and fast . im goin to try to get some more shots in and get it broke in but its best power of all my airguns.i have a crosman quest ,a crosman 400,and a wilrauch hw-55 but the 1100xsu beats them all you make me feel confident with this gun

I have two magnum .177's.....the Ruger Air Magnum and the Winchester 1100. I shoot the same pellet in both of them....H&N Barracuda Match 10.65. The Ruger is accurate but it is nowhere as accurate as the Winchester 1100. I zeroed the Winchester to one hole groups at 10 yards and I thought that I was going to have to zero at 20 because I love to squirrel hunt. Went hunting with the rifle zeroed at 10 shot a squirrel in the head at 25 yards. I have not messed with zero and I do not plan on messing with it. Other guys that have this rifle on this forum will agree with me that this is one of the best (besides the RWS .177 350)magnum .177's that you can buy. You do not see a lot of them for resale. I purchased this rifle with advice from guys on the forum and from this video. I think DDrego has one also. IMO, you have to shoot heavy pellets in magnum .177's. This rifle will go supersonic on you and I am speaking from first hand experience. I hope that other guys will chime in with their experience with this rifle. Guys here know a whole lot more than what I know.

tardip i installed the scope yesterday,and wow it was amasing how accurate it shot .i will have to try heaver pellets, but after several shots it seemed to prefer crosman hollow point premier those are heavest theat i have in my collection but the next time i go to basspro im goin to look for some heaver pellets .after i get some more shots in it might get better as it seems to improve more and more. thanks for your words about the rifle
