350 Magnum .177

I got my Diana 350 from the Airguns daily sale.  Its a leap in fit and finish compared to my usual Crosman and Chinese budget guns.  After it arrived I realized I only had boxed CPH & a couple tins of Eun Jin heavys in .177 that would work.


What 4 different tins of Pyramyd ammo would be a good starter set after break in trials?  The first 20 shots across the chrony  are going at 918 - 928 fps with the 10.5g CHP's.  Its actually just a touch faster than my Marauder is tuned for.

H&N Barracuda Match. Those are some good stable numbers. I have two .177 magnum springers (Winchester 1100XSU (made by Hatsan) and the Ruger Air Magnum) and I use Barracudas in both of them for hunting and they are great. JSB heavies might be good also. Those are some real good numbers.

my 350 magnum .177, loves the cpums and spits them out at 895 fps with the vortek kit.
It shoots the 10.3 JSB at 930 fps and quite accurately.
Gotta love the magnums.

There is nothing like a magnum 177. There is just something special about them when you get them just right. The same thing with a 22....but there is just something about a magnum 177. I've heard that the RWS 350 177 is a great gun. My RAM is not that bad. The Winchester 1100 is great.

try the H&N stuff for some reason many springers seem to like them over JSBs...and achieve more power with them versus the same wieght JSB

My 350 in .177 likes the CP 10.5 pellets.Very tight fit in breech though.Also likes H&N Barracuda match 10.65.

The ones i use in my 350 mag 177. are the barracuda match and kodiak hollow points.

My 350s favs are 10.2 gr jsb. I was looking for them last night though and could only find 10.3 gr. Should be the same thing hopefully. Very acvurate out past the 100 yd mark. Barracuda match 10.65 gr work very well also nut dont hold as tigth of groups way out.

I think a good mix of jsb, beeman and hn in the 10 gr range would be good to start with. Ive never had good luck with crassmon pellets. I recommend domed pellets. They hold tighter groups at longer range than the rest.

Also the heavier pellets will start out slower but retain more velocity down range giving you more fpe on the targey. I used to shoot 8.4 gr out of my 350 because they are pinpoint accurate but when i chronied my guns out to 28 yds the 8.4 lost almost twice the velocity as the 10.2 did which drops you down range energy. The 10.2 started out almost 100 fps slower but at 28 yds had almost the same velocity.

My B28 loves Beeman Silver Arrows/H&N Silver Points (??). Basically any pellet 8.8 grains and up will work in the 350 and its clones. I'm never as concerned about speed as much as I am in pure knock down power. The 350 can handle the heavier pellets so you shouldnt worry about spring damage. In truth, the 350 is designed to shoot heavier than the standard weight pellets (7.9), but like every other Airgun maker, they use the lighter weight pellets to claim higher velocities for marketing reasons. Go figure. If you like to hear a good pop on a critter, try the RWS Super-Mags wad cutters. Oh yeah baby,.... They will lay a hurtin on any target for sure!! Feather or fur.

Anthing under around 9 will go super sonic in mine. My .177 350 will shoot the 10.3 CPHP great. H&N's are good and the RWS SD's do good as well. Now this is in the pro compack barrel. Longer barrel even both being 12 landers, will shoot the same pellets but I do not have the super sonic in the 8.5 range on it.

on my r.a.m 177.cal. i shoot 16.1gr eunjins,90 % of the time,it also loves 10,5gr cpum, which i use to punch paper,mostly.i have the vortek kit in it,and anything below 10.5gr goes ,,ss,,,in it and accuracy falls off big time past 10yards.   is accurate out to 120 yards with both pellets,but the 16.1gr do much more damage to the poor target it hits,gets there fast too.

I always wondered about the range on the .177 version of the 350s all i own are the .22

i shoot the crosman heavy domes out of my b28 and my 350. they are accurate enough for me that ive never had to try anything else

Most of the H&N pellets are 4.50, hence the higher speed.
JSB are 4.52mm

Try the Baracuda Match 10.65 in 4.51mm. Their accuracy is amazing.
