nitro venom dusk

Shot almost 400 pellets trough my NVDusk at 35 feet indoors,some came pretty straight some peppered ,shooting was pretty loud the first 50 pellets,as the dieseling stopped it got better,still  i thought it should be quieter,i read somewhere here on the forum how to check for airleaks,so i put a piece of tissue on top of the breach and let go...the tissue lifted 1ft instantly vertical and now  i know what i need: a new 0- ring!!!  The one which came stock is a yelloisch very hard squisched something which doesnot seal very well and according the crosman scematic a flat adjusting washer was missing! Gone call tomorrow for replacement!

I have been contemplating buying a Nitro Venom .22, but I keep putting it off because I would want to get the "tune" along with it at the same time.  Is this rifle as quiet a the Ttan GP, NPSS or Benjamin Trail?

I just got the crosman nitro venom, wood stock version(.22 cal) the day before thanksgiving. I had some time to shoot a little over 200 round through it and compared to the titan gp, it's about the same as far a noise level. The one thing i noticed, so did my son was the amount of recoil.Has way more than the titan. I think i will try that tissue test this weekend just for the heck of it. It shoots great and i am sure the seal is ok, but it wont hurt to check anyway.

Just ordered replacement parts from crosman,they told me that there is no parts list for that model,parts will be available within a year so just return the rifle to walmart and they will order a new one....2 penny parts  and return the rifle???..I made them aware that the breakdownlist is posted on this forum and i can give them even the part # and...yeep they have the identical parts in stock used on other rifles,so replacement is on the way!((shipping within 2 weeks???)  Went to Ace and bought a 0-ring # 83 p/n; 9D0035711B which fits pretty good and gets me buy till spares arrive!!  Noticed also that the gun noise reduced ca 50% with the replacement 0-ring..     Great Forum ,Great info..
