Always wanted to try one of those wide stance bipods that cost almost as much as an AG.
So decide to build one out of parts I have on hand. I call it 'The Spatchcock Turkey' Thanks to Matt.
Quick release attachment from a bipod I had in a drawer, the V part is from an old Air Force hand pump, the legs are from a Black Ops Springer that's in parts in a trunk. Need to get or print a rail section for the legs yet but that's minor.
The holes at the bottom of the V will be used for attaching weights.

Well done! That wide stance should be much more stable than a ''regular'' bipod, I think I may copy your idea one of these days

I took the mounting part out of the QR from the old bipod and getting set up to cut it down on the lathe.
I could go all HillBilly and just use washers to shim but with a lathe? Why?
I'll post pictures later.
