Good morning Airgunners!  Thank you for being part of the GTA!

Well, yesterday did NOT turn out like I expected.  I had planned to film in the studio setting up the BARRA 400e AEG BB gun.  Then it jammed up tighter than a drum.  Come to find out, it was ALL MY FAULT! The new version uses a precision feeder and barrel.  So, using ammo that's not 100% precision ground will result in jams.  Fortunately, clearing a jam is super easy. (let me know if you all want to see a video on how to do that).  But I didn't know any of that yet. 

While I was waiting to hear back from BARRA about my issues (again, all my fault) 400e, Sue and I headed down to the range to shoot in the wind anyway.  We got down there, and I grabbed my .22 BSA R12, which is a 100-yard gun in good conditions, and we set up to do some shooting out to 50 yards.  Well, color me impressed!  Once I found how the winds were pushing, it was easy to drop pellets right on target all the way out to 50 yards.  If all goes well during editing, that video will be out at the end of the week.

Now, back to the 400e. While down at the range, I got a call from BARRA, who explained why they sent a big 6000-round jug of BBs. These new BBs are precision ground to exact tolerances. They talked me through the process of clearing the jam, and I headed back up to the office to see if I could have some success.

The short answer is YEP!  Super easy to pop the pins just like you would a typical AR and separate the upper from the lower.  One little screw and the feeder screen drops right out.  Clear the jammed BB, reassemble, and I was back in business.   It takes like 5 minutes or less. It's almost like someone knew what they were doing when they designed this thing!

Anyway, I was able to film the unboxing and setup of the 400e, which will be ready to showcase at Airgun Expo 2025.  So, I was able to get 2 videos in the can!  Today, we'll be testing our setup for live streaming the expo so if you see some notifications popping up and want to come join us, please do!
