Just got a new GX CS4-i and it's my first compressor ever. I have zero experience, so I was wondering if any of you could help me out with advice and tips with the first time operation of the compressor.
Thanks in advance,
Mike aka TheBBA

I have that compressor, branded by Serpent Arms, here are some helpful videos.

Hey James, yeah those are helpful, thank you.
So the instructions that came with the compressor aren't the most detailed and like I said this is my first compressor so I want to make sure I do everything right.
As I understand it, what I should do for my initial run is aside from making sure all the switches are in the right positions, fill it with distilled water, turn on the fan/water pump switch, tip it to get the air bubbles out, then make sure the bleed valve is open before I start the compressor, then open the bleed valve and start the compressor, then close the bleed valve, test it for leaks with the brass hose plug, turn off the compressor (leaving the fan and water pump on), then open the bleed valve and allow the fan and water pump to run for a couple of minutes before shutting it totally down.
Then for future use keep an eye on the water and turn the grease knob 1 full turn after every 4-6 hours of operation.
Does that sound right or am I missing anything?
P.S.
I also got a 30Mpa inline oil/water filter, and I'm also going to do the coolant flow light mod as well. But I'm not spending $50 for that guys kit in the video. That's a pretty cool setup he has, but $50 is a little outrageous for a couple of leds. I can grab some blue LEDs on Amazon and do it myself for $7.

Yeah I guess it was right. Ran it through a test run at the 300 bar with the plug in the hose and let it sit for 30 minutes and the needle never moved. No leaks and purred like a kitten with a belly full of milk. lol These really are great compressors, and I'm glad I splurged for the i version with the integrated voltage converter. I could have always got the other version and then just mounted the converter myself, but I think it was worth the extra couple of bucks to have it integrated into the unit.
Now I just need to get a new tank. Or actually 2 tanks. All I have are a couple of 15 year old 3,000 PSI tanks and I need a couple of tanks that will handle 4,500 psi. The reason I want 2 tanks is because what I did in the past was use my full size scuba tank to fill the gun, and then I had a smaller tank that I would just use to bring it all the way up to 3000 psi on subsequent fills.
So I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations on a good deal for a large 4500 PSI carbon fiber tank, and then a medium size tank to use as a top off tank? Also I noticed on GX's website that they don't recommend you feeling tanks over 6.8 L. So I'm wondering what you think about that as well?
Thanks in advance,
Mike aka TheBBA

I would stick to the MFG recommendations. Here is a good deal on a bottle if you do not mind the longer shipping times.
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806016396671.html?
I do similar with 2 full size scuba AL tanks, I keep one near max pressure, and the other below, I start a fill with the lower pressure tank and have them T'd together , close the one valve then open the higher pressure to top off.
The guns that need a full 4500 I top off with the GX4 in the field.

Ya know, it never occurred to me to T them off. That's a pretty good idea. 😎👍
I do have one last question though. I want to order the LEDs to illuminate the coolant flow but I don't know what voltage to order. I'm pretty sure I need the 12v but I'd like to be sure. Does anyone know what the voltage is coming off the accessory panel in the CS4-i is?
I tried to post a link to the video but I guess I'm restricted because I'm still new to this forum. But I attached a screenshot where you can see him pointing to the terminal I'm referring to. Does anyone know what voltage is coming off that terminal?
