Umarex Selling Used Parts??

I just received the Reaxis gas spring for an Octane.
It has paint worn off at the end of the ram barrel at the rod end........
In fact, it looks more used than the failed unit that came out of the gun.

But it works fine.

Would they sell used parts??
That'll be a Monday call for sure.......

So, you got the springs directly from Umarex?

I've always heard that Umarex will not sell parts directly to customers.

Yes, direct from Umarex.

They usta not sell parts for their lower end guns.
The first dead Octane I had wound up (no pun intended) getting fitted with a coil spring.
In fact i had to PM the GTA member who works for them to get a breech seal.......
They said no parts for Octane fifles...
Then somewhere i heard that they had parts available..
They wanted me to send my first Octane in for repair, but, when I asked them
how they would repair a gun for which they had NO parts, I was greeted with silence...

I had obtained a parts list/schematic for the Octane/Fuel, and the ram has a reference # but is omitted from the
list of part #'s........ so, when I called them, I GUESSED !! Got it right,too...

The Umarex rep promised me that the ram is hew...

He said that there are 8 of them in the bin (when I ordered, I was told that there were 2)
and that they had rubbed against each other and wore off some paint.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

He said they had been there for some time. A couple years ago I was told they didn't have any.....

Maybe they did not previously sell them, only used them for ib house repairs. Duddo....

All I can say is that the paint is worn off consistent with the ram that came out of the rifle......

On the flip side, the dead ram from the Octane that I converted to coil a few years back has perfect paint, bit is very limp..........
