lightweight expanding foam?

I was thinking of using an expanding foam in the hollow plastic buttstocks of some of the cheap Daisy rifles like the 901, 35 or 880. Has anyone ever done this before? Will it actually strengthen the buttstock and pump grips or just make the rifle heavy?
I was thinking to use this kind:

I used the expanding foam (insulation) in the buttstock of my Walther Falcon Hunter. Made it quieter.

Urethane foam definitely adds to strength, at least in wall and attic apps. I would think it would ad least add a little to plastic butt stocks as well.

It's been used by many to rid the "hollow sound" in the buttstock. It won't add that much weight. It is a urethane product so be prepared for cleaning up...it's messy, and a bear to get off of your hands. Tape off anywhere you don't want it. Finally, it does heat up, chemical reaction, so you might wanna try a place first to see if it will interact with your plastic. Good Luck to you!

There are at least 3 kinds of that stuff that you can get a Lowes or Home Depot. There is the water cleanup kind that is kind of wimpy, not very suitable.
Then there are 2 kinds of the urethane. Like already said, they are a mess to clean up, and very sticky, so tape everything off good. DO NOT use the triple expanding big gap kind. Use the one that says minimal expanding, or door and window gap sealer. The triple expanding kind will keep growing for at least 5 minutes and ooze out into everything. The other kind expands just a tiny bit and stays dense. You pretty much have to use the entire can at ounce, so one can of the minimal expanding kind will be plenty.

I would use one of these two. They are a lot cheaper and will do a good job.
