I recently revised my 30' shooting lane to place my chronograph a few inches in front of the muzzle. Data table now shows pellet "muzzle" velocity and energy, not at ~30'.Lucky timing since this Edge initially throwing wild pellets might have damaged the device.... and I need to learn to use muzzle "brake" when posting about my "break" barrels ;-)
I cut off the top half of the front sight shroud. That way its like a winged partridge sight on an M1 carbine. The wings protect the sight blade but you still get an open sight picture. It works really well with a peep sight.
What specifically did you use for the bolt spring guide?
Great info on these bargain Edges. I just received a $39 refurb from Hatsan in .22 and I am havong fun working my way through re-refurbishing it now.It came with a fairly smooth cycle so I left the internals alone for now.I first had to recrown both ends of the barrel to get it to shoot straight. Mine likes Superdomes over JSBs which was a surprise to me.I found the large screw at the break needed a tiny bit of tightening. Enough to replace the lock screw 1 notch over which took out the play in the lock up. I'm pretty sure this helped eliminate some of the shot to shot aim inconsistency. Ive partially gone through the usual trigger mods needed but thanks to this thread I will attempt to straighten it as well.I too enjoy improving these challenging little projects. One of the best values out there IMO if you're up to the challenge and want to learn for very little investment you might get a big return.
