Scopes on an 880?

Mine came with the lousy one, which I installed, thought worse than looking through open sights, removed it the same night, and later added a decent scope on.

But I still prefer shooting with open sights most of the time.

 I am at 2 880's, at the moment, both scoped.
The third which is out on consignment, is also scoped.

I shoot better with the irons. Maybe someday if my eyes deteriorate to the point where I can't see the sights I will scope it.

 Mine may be a bit over scoped, IIR CP 3-9 x 40  UTG 3-9 x 40 A/O on this one.  I think I have 5 or 6 working Daisys of various generations.

Mine's Svbono $5 special 3X9 AO. Limit was 1 or I would have ordered two...

Great optics… no, but IMO, perfect size and weight with enough magnification for the distances these guns are normally shot at.

Put a 4X Barska with AO on mine, works great.

   I have one of those as I like compact scopes on my air guns most of which are carbines. It works great on my old metal 880 that I modified with parts from member Ronno6 here on the forum. As others have said though I shoot the 880 with the iron sights most of the time plinking off the deck.

I posted this pic in New Members but thought it was pertinent here as well. It's freaking awesome for squirrel assassination. It's a cheapo red dot on an 880 that's well over a decade old. Coupled with alloy pellets, even head shots are through and through at 25'.

CVLIFE JackalHowl 2-7x32 AO is what I am running on my 880.  Good clear glass but the eye relief could be better.

I have a CV Life 4X scope, with short eye relief, that I have used on my "880 want-to-be" Umarex.
Right now I have an open reflex sight one it.
