I designed a three stage Tesla Valve moderator for the Sumatra. It is beefed up everywhere, with thicker side walls having material added on the outside, to preserve more internal volume. The overall length is the same as the shorter mod already printed.Zipped STL attached. Images in next post due to file size limits. Also the reason why the texture and front cap designation were deleted.
Thanks, I am going to print this one next.
I have 6 mods printed & painted so far. I will be doing another 4+ of them before I start the Great Sumatra LDC Destruction Test. Tested mods will include designs by Kent, Mike, Subscriber, Bob, and maybe others. Among the tested will be Kent's original fluted file, reprinted and painted, and his latest "hasty" reworking, Subscriber's long and "shorter" mods as well as his Tesla mod, Mike's Standard and Wraith mods, and others I may add to the list.So far the only survivors from the original batch are Subscriber's shorter mod and my original painted print of Kent's fluted mod. I have been reprinting and painting so the next test may be a bit more interesting. I will put the competition test in another post here so things don't get too far off track. The mods that survive the Sumatra will then be compared to each other for loudness. I look forward to seeing which mods win.
I did notice the Archangel feels surprisingly "light" compared to several of the others I have printed. We shall see. I have 2 mods with the paint drying and I have an hour and a half left on the mod that is printing, then I will print out your Standard .22 mod, and that might be all I need for the test. Should give me at least 9 mods. I have to say I love the looks of the fluted Mod of Kent's but I wish it were twice as wide with the same threading. That mod perfectly matches my Sumatra's cylinders.I am also fairly sure that paint is having a serious effect on the mods. While I was painting them a few minutes ago I noticed a strange color liquid film happening. It goes away, but the first thing I thought was that it was "melting" it's way into the plastic. That's one of the reasons I am reprinting a couple of the one's that previously failed that weren't painted. Here's are some of the soldiers ready for their testL-R Mike's Archangel, Subscriber's (Pete?) long, Subscriber's Tesla, Subscriber's short, Kent's fluted without end cap, Kent's remake of the Ruger mod.Out of these the Tesla mod is by far the heaviest in weight.
Peter, This is the quietest suppressor I have tried.I think this Tesla three stage is the most effective design.Could you modify this design to M14x1 threads to fit on my Pinty P-Force Tactical .22 without using an adapter.

I ask, because I expect the relative TV mod performance to drop on lower power airguns, and to go up on the more powerful ones - subject to testing.I can do a variant with an M14 x 1 thread for you. How long is the male stud on your Pinty, from the very front end to the mounting shoulder? I have 15 mm in my mind. Is that correct?
