BARRA 1100z .25 Gen2 Update - Results from the Range! 2025-03-11

Good morning airgunners! 

First of all, thank you for being a part of the GTA.  I hope that you are getting a lot from the site.  Please don't hesitate to reach out via PM if you have questions or concerns.  We are here to help.

Now, on to today's topic. As I mentioned yesterday, I received the BARRA 1100z .25 Gen2 along with their 4-12x40 AO scope ($100 for the scope without rings) for testing and have spent some time behind the trigger. We'll have an early access video out tomorrow and a feature video out later this week on AirgunWeb. I'll be sure to post links in the ARK to the feature video once it's live.

Here are some short takeaways.

1. The reg is set to 2000 psi, and the rifle operates from 3500 psi.
2. you can get about 2 mags on the reg with an extreme spread of 16 to 20 fps for the strings we shot (three, 18 shot strings)
3. Average FPS was 836 for two strings and 837 for the other.   Needless to say, it's very consistent
4. the scope is clear and useful out to 100 yards.  not a fan of the reticle, but it does work as the video will show (I used a Tactacam for the scope video)
5. added the Airgun Capital .30 cal mod which helped with the noise and did NOT impact POI.  Nice, affordable combo.

Anyway, that's the short story for now.  I'm working with BARRA to make up a special GTA package with discounts.  I'll post links (hopefully later today) that will give everyone a discount SITE WIDE over at Barra airguns.
