Doppelgangers

I met mine when I was 11 years old. I'm from California originally, my family would go camping at a place in the Napa valley, a camp ground with a few out buildings. One day I had walked behind the snack bar when a boy and girl walked up to me and said what did you do Joe, go back to camp and change your clothes? Just then there brother Joe walks out from the other side, his own brother and sister could not tell us apart. I worked at UNC Chapel Hill for 15 years. One day one of the secretaries said you live at the Boligwood apartments don't you, I said no and told her I live out of town. She says but I see you there every morning at the bus stop. A friend was staying on a farm outside of town, there was a small subdivision next door we would go through to going and coming from the farm. One morning I went out to see my friend but she wasn't home. We caught up with each other the next day, she says you came out to the farm yesterday afternoon, I said no I came out in the morning but you weren't home. She says but I saw you at the stop sign, it was you, your car, dressed like you, I waved. Weird!

I have red hair. People always tell me I look like a friend, or you have a twin in my town. Some start taking to me as though I'm that twin.

Once when I drove trucks I was at a truck stop getting ready to get in the sleeper and decided to call my wife. She was out of town at a motel in Memphis. She answered and was in bed. After a few minutes she asked, "Who is this!" I said, "You sound just like my wife." She said, "You sound just like my husband." She was also out of town at a hotel. I told her we lived in Savannah, Ga. She also lived in Savannah. Good thing I didn't ask her what she was wearing.

 I hear there is a guy who stops to buy apples and muffins when we are open to the public, they claim he is my spittin image, I think I saw him once last season, no time to introduce myself to myself though

Saw mine in a old 1940s picture of the ocean with a dude walking by that looked just like I did when I was 14yrs old in the 80s with similar style clothes and sun glasses that I wore, plus the pic was taken by my dad way before I was ever an itch in his pants. What a coincidence God got him to take that pic at just the time my doppelganger was walking by for me to discover half a century later in a box of his old pictures. What a trip!

Friends were vacationing in Honduras and swore they saw me there at the bar.
Even called my name.
I must admit, the body, hair, posture, and attire is uncanny!

 + 20 years ago people around here told me there was a guy in the next town around the same age that was said to look like me. Also I have had at least two people call me by the name of the lookalike. I have yet to meet this guy, but now that I'm nearly 40 I'm sure there shouldn't be much similarities left.

My supervisor at Goodrich aerospace looked just like Dr Phil. He even had a picture of both of them together and they looked like twins 😅.
