Diana 34 trigger

I had my Diana 34 out last week and everything was fine. Took it out today and it fired when I closed the barrel. Now it will not catch the piston rod. Seems to be safety related. Help needed

It would help a lot to know which trigger you have.  The Diana 34 used four different ones.  It would also help to know what adjustments you have made to the trigger.  There are adjustment screws in the trigger blade itself.  You may be able to fix your problem by turning each one out one full turn.  Do this carefully so you can return the screws to the original position if this does not help.

It’s a TO6 trigger assembly. The gun worked fine the week before. It rested loosely in a gun vise for a week. Then when I went to use it, it fired when I closed the barrel. It did that three times so I stopped using it. I tried backing them out. Same issue. It went from working fine when I put it away to firing when closing the barrel a week latter.

Just an update. I found some play in the mounting hole for the safety lever. This allowed enough movement to fire gun.
