Such a pretty girl!! What deer do you have down there? I've always heard the term "Swamp Deer" but don't know if that is an actual breed. Thought they were spotted... is that a young doe Mule Deer... looks small for our White-tail Ladies here. Not bragging, just comparing.
One of the first things I noticed when we moved here to Alabama was how much smaller the deer were than in Ohio. We see deer daily in our neck of the woods.

Surprised you don't see more of them Paul. They do really well in suburban habitats.
It's a Whitetailed Deer, they just don't get as big as the variety you have.
Marty sent me this pic of a piebald doe with a fawn in tow that he wanted you Paul to see! Beautiful!
This is my girl Blanca. I first saw her the day she was born in September 2013. I saw her every day nearly for seven years. She passed away in 2021 after a very long life for a white tailed doe.
12 in the yard tonight.. all calm and grazing.. until I opened the door for pics. Two big does and a bunch of young'ngs.
Nice healthy doe there Paulie, haven't seen any deer this year so far, but I've been hibernating more than anything, it's been Cold here....
