I'd like to use the moderator from my Diana Bandit on a Sig Sauer P226. This would require a female m12x1 to a male m10x1 adapter. Any suggestions as to where such a thing can be found?

I asked DonnyFl if they had anything in this size and got an interesting reply: "We do not as this is used in the firearm industry. We will not make this as a custom adapter."

Looks like China's the only option, lol.

Well that Ebay fitting seems to be an inexpensive solution if it works out.

Another alternative, since I've been asked a several times about custom machining adaptors.....  IF the LDC has a removeable 'back cap', just purchase (if the MFG offers it) or have a new back cap made in the thread desired.   Some thread combinations don't work as an adaptor like 14mm male to 1/2-20 female, or 1/2-20 male to 3/8-24 female and 5/8-11 male to 1/2-20 female as there is not enough 'meat' left for the threads and they cut into eachother with full profile threads or end up very weak.   One could machine them in an 'end-to-end' style but that makes a long, awkward adaptor)  In that case the alternative back cap works perfectly.  

However typically at the price for a custom back-cap or DFL adaptor, you are at 1/2 the price of just having another LDC.

Thanks for the suggestions. Actually, the LDC does have a removeable 'back cap' (and front), but Diana has used red locktite and I can't remove it without doing some serious damage to the finish, which I don't want to do. It was a miracle that I was able to remove it from the barrel at all!

Oh, that darn red locktite, seems to be used far too much these days.

Your best option is heat, either heat-gun, or VERY carefull use with a propane torch.  Neither will harm a blued or anodized finish at the temperature to 'loosen' the dreaded red locktite (rattle can paint jobs....yeah, probably ruin it).  For small set screws (not the case here but I'll share) a high-wattage soldering iron will 'unstick' most screws.  For rear caps or anything stuck on a barrel, it will have to get 'very warm' to unstick.  I forget exactly, but IIRC, it's only around 500deg F, maybe slightly less, so it doesn't have to be 'roasted' with a full flame.

So FYI, I was originally able to remove the moderator from the barrel by dipping the assembly into boiling water, but the rear cap still wouldn't budge. Have tried soaking in various solvents, and heating with a small pipe-smoker's torch lighter, all to no avail. Don't have a propane torch, probably that would work.

LOL, this topic has come up a few times.  There are some experts out there employed in the law-enforcement community, who are on this forum, who may have built their own airgun, who insist that the muzzle thread on your airgun is irrevelant in the eyes of the law, and you are absolutely stupid to think othewise.

Though........there may be merrit to it as I just found out the Sako Quad, a high end 22lr rifle, as well as the Savage 64TR. 22lr , Intertec Tec-22 , and original CZ 452 barrels, apparently use a 1/2-20 muzzle thread! Just when you thought you were "safe" with 1/2-20 muzzle threads.  :shrug:

While on the topic.......

There is also the debate as to IF you are "safe" by using a plastic or 3D printed LDC that would destroy itself upon "improper use".  Sadly, NO.  In the wording of the law, it all comes down to "intent", thus making water bottles, potatoes and fuel filters "jail worthy" regardless of actual effect.  Best NOT to F.A.F.O.

ATF never appealed the ruling and doesn't look like it has any interest in prosecuting AG owners.

That is probably why people who build and sell AG moderators are not being prosecuted (unless they say/do something stupid which indicates they intend to violate the firearms laws).

We will see.  In the end legal advice from people on Internet forums is worth exactly what you paid for it.
