Starling double

I hadn't finished my last coffee and was watching for a male HOSP that had made an appearance at the feeders while the HVAC serviceman was here. I had the
 Kral NP-03 on standby leaning in the corner. Just as I took a swig , a large black bird landed in the bluebird feeder. A quick bino look to confirm,,, a starling !!
 Coffee down gun up w/ the ATN switched on, eased the sliding door open just enough to slowly ease the gun out & rest on the frame, cock the gun and realized
 after focusing there were two ! A few seconds of viewing then they lined up and well , like the late Paul Harvey radio personality used to say, "Now the rest of
 the story" the trigger was pressed & both hit the snow w/ barely a quiver. Not five minutes later the five crow cleanup crew arrived, warily approached the birds
 lying barely four feet apart and started to do the job, eventually dragging one out farther in the yard where two crows proceeded to "prepare" their next meal.
 A few minutes later the larger crow grabbed the starling & flew off , followed by the rest of the "gang". I guess they'll be back later for the other starling so I
 won't have to pile warm clothes on to dispose of it . I sent pics to Randall in hopes that he can post the "proof of action" later .

 Paul , sorry no video of the shot . Thought about it after the shot , but I don't have the "mental capacity" to hit the record button yet alone figure how to
 retrieve it lol. Besides as soon as I sat the gun down I saw the crows , so I grabbed the cell & started clickin' pictures & videoing the crows approaching &
 making hesitant jabs. I could probably send those to Randall if there's any interest.

 Paul ,HA , I have hit that record button unintentionally a few times between the two ATN scopes   . I would have to pay your gas $$ to come here , hang w/ me on a 
 shoot or two and teach me how to retrieve photos/ videos  !!! I'd probably have to make a trip to Best Buy/ Walmart for equipment also!! Thanks for the
 offer to join my "technical staff" , though you'd have your work cut out for ya!!

The starling getting taken reminded me of a time last year when I went to retrieve a down squirrel I saw a hawk fly away with something. Took a good 20 minutes of fruitlessly looking around before I figured out that something was my squirrel. Hawks gotta eat too!
