Now that Pinty's having air rifle selections,
trying to center on the Flashpup Topic

a lot of Spanish sites out there already, along with US purchasers personal experience

So far Fed-X delivered today, packaging product was well protected from damage.

So, before any shooting, inspection and cleaning of the barrel is my first step,
checking the suppressor baffles for any damage, allen screws for tightness

moving on,
went ahead and made a lead dust filter for it.

started to continue airing it up, but first wanted to see how it was degassed,
now according to the owners manual, degassing is only done by cocking an triggering it til empty.

At this point putting question out there, if anyone has altered or found any other means on degassing ?

my thought was to just unscrew the manometer,
but that has a spring loaded collar making it unaccessible to degas

my thought without any major mod, just remove the air tube unscrew the manometer end,
then remove the collar and just use a dowel plug like some air rifles do, then if need be use the manometer for degassing ?

There are some similarities to my P35s so I will guess that the manometer has flats and can be reached with a really thin socket wrench likes comes with the P35. If so you could unscrew the gauge if you can find the suitable wrench. That is not what you do on the P35, it has a degassing screw on the back end of the air tube. If you locate the wrench you would want to be sure you unscrew the gauge from the big nut on the end of the air tube. If you put a screw driver through the opening for the fill probe you can prevent the nut from turning.

replaced a few monometers using small adjustable wrench
some having hex an some flat spots that are exposed at the top, but some below the top gauge glass ring.
the thin wall wrench would have to be very, very, thin wall, for clearance is very marginal, as this monometer does not appear to have any flat surfaces, exposed is just a silver top ring
I believe if there was a degassing screw, it would have mentioned in the degassing procedure
I'm unfamiliar with the wrench your referring to for the P35

I think there IS a degassing socket head at the back of the air tube. Mine is out in the barn in the gun room and it’s 2 degrees outside vs. 72 here in my Lazy Boy in the house or I would go check.

My bullpup seems to have a huge amount of MOA built into the rail. I’ve got all the “Down” elevation in and still hitting 4 MOA high at 50 yards. Have installed shims in the front ring but 4 MOA is as low as I can get it. I’ve ordered some Westhunter adjustable rings to address the issue. Will keep you posted. Similar issue with my P15 or “Diana Skyhawk” as it was branded. Had just enough elevation on a UTG Compact 4x16 to zero it, but it’s writhing three clicks of being maxed out. Hate to run a scope that tight to its limits of adjustment.

Ya ! I hear you, expecting sub ZERRO temps here (Thinking Spring very strongly lately) I can feel my Lazy Boy Beckoning

I recall seeing a Spanish video that appears to be referring to an allen screw at the back of the air tube for degassing
never took Spanish so tried to understand it through CC (since I couldn't get the interpreter working)
other then pulling the air tube, I feel it's just going to be guess work

on the optic end (aside from my inquiry)
found some sites having similar issues with larger end dia. optics having these issues,
unable to tell you why, but their fix was
lowering the OD on ones front optics (been awhile so unable to send you the site or explain why this worked for them)

Morning guys, I did just take a look at my Bullpup and there is an Allen screw on the backend of the airtube that could be a de-gass. One will have to take the cheek rest off to get to that screw.

Weather is supposed to be Sunny, high of 57 degrees, winds light and variable here today so I plan a trip to the WMA with my Bullpup for my first field trials of this gun.

Temperature is below 32ºF, cloudy, windy, and snow is predicted for later today. We should crawl out of the freezer Saturday - maybe.

Thanks Mike, yep looks like today is the only chance to get out for another week or so. Forecast for some light snow tomorrow evening and 15 degrees low the next night, so today it is. Hopefully something worthy of a picture will show up!

Brrrrr! Woke up here to outside temps showing -18 below

Wth this Wisconsin Weather, might have to put a hold on this teardown,
all my airgun clamps & tools are in my unheated garage with just a few hand tools at home
So Not gonna dress up look'n like the Michelin Tire Man to work on this rifle

In the mean, time might take the stock off an ck that allen screw
probably air this thing up, ck for leaks an give it a bloody go

If anyone does a follow uo on that back allen screw, let us know

You can get at the reg by either end of the cylinder. To degass there is a small set screw at the very end of the cylinder. Just break it free & give it a few minutes to air out. You have to put a pipe or even a screwdriver shaft in the fill port hole & unscrew the whole assembly. You then need a ft long extension & socket & same length screwdriver. I remove the air tube so I can have the reg & mark it in case I want to return to factory settings. It's very easy after you do it once. Nothing on Spa guns is ever loctited so easy peasy. Screw on reg goes cw to decrease & ccw to increase.

That's ok, I will rewatch some of the Chile based videos on it and see if I can figure it out.

So far I am liking my QM23 bullpup a lot. So much that I almost lost my mind and put my Sumatra 2500 up for sale, but I regained my senses and had the ad removed and ordered the part I needed to fix it. Whew.

The weather guessers got things right in North GA today, the temperature hit 58 degrees and sunny with virtually no wind, a great day to be in the woods with the new Bullpup. The rifle was a pleasure to tote through the woods, especially with the 5 oz Sig red dot on mine. After confirming a rough 30 yard zero, I set out on a mile and a half woods waik but saw nothing moving in the woods except a few birds. About an hour in I though I heard a squirrel stiring in the leaves but after a bit of stalking I looked up over a large rock to see a dozen wild turkeys scratching around. Turkey season doesn't start for another couple months in GA and .30 cal or larger is required. So I stood up and they a turned on the afterburners and skedattled.

The WMA I hunt borders one of the most visited lakes east of the Mississippi and with the crazy rain and wind we had the last few days, there were more than a few hoppy beverage cans floating about. My range finder showed cans from 25 yards out to 75 yards so it was game on. I use Strelock Pro for holdover when necessary and it seemed to be dead on today. The rifle shot great at range with the Apolo 18 gn Air Boss pellets I was feeding it. Everything I shot at was a hit except for one can that was 74 yards out and I miscalculated the holdover on the first shot. The second sent the can to Davy Jones Locker. My Pinty Bullpup is a shooter!!

I had no problems with the rifle, it feels like I might have won the Airgun Lottery with this one, at least so far.(knock on wood) Trigger feels really good, does not affect good accuracy. Everything worked smoothly and properly as it should.

Crazy weather is coming back tonight with rain/snow mix and temps in the teens for a couple days. Hopefully the great thaw will come soon and others will be able to get out and enjoy the Bullpup.

Funny Jared, I had a similar thought about my Airforce Escape UL, but just changed the barrel back to the .25 cal instead and will keep it!
