Lots of interesting stuff in there. 5 axis-printing? Yikes. I even have problems with thinking fourth dimensionally.
The $5000 3d laser scanner is awesome -- but jeeze -- $5000! On the other hand, businesses look at that and think -- only $5000, let's get two. I'll wait for it to trickle down to a more consumer friendly price. Remember when LED light bulbs were $20 each?

5-axis filament printing may seem like overkill, but perhaps it could be used to mix up fiber direction, potentially to strengthen what would otherwise be the z-axis layer to layer direction, with a 3-axis printer.
The video suggested that parts with "extreme overhangs" would be possible, without supports, because with 5-axis printing they would not be extreme overhangs.
